This series is for the hardcore intermediate or advanced bodybuilders who wants to gain muscle and is willing to work hard to get it. If your gains have stagnated and you are having trouble making progress this series is for you! If you hate coming up with workouts but still want to work out hard, this series is for you! The videos in this series are complete workouts, just press play and follow along. Please do not attempt these S61XL workouts unless you have been weight lifting five days a week for at least a year. Beginners would be much better off with my beginning workout plan. It takes time to build up the tendons and joints to withstand this kind of punishment and you will get injured if you start this program before your body is ready. I'm going to focus on some unusual workouts that even a pro bodybuilder would find challenging. Most bodybuilders make the mistake of not mixing their workouts up enough and get stuck in the three-sets-of-eight rut or the one-rep-max rut. 30-Minute Workout Plan with Ivy (Core

02-03-2010 15:32 hotandhealthyliving.com To keep from getting bored Ive switched my 30-minute workout plan once again. I also actually hurt my back recently too (not sure doing what? But, the pain has been going into my thigh and sciatic nerve and its very, very annoying---not excruciating---just highly aggravating. Sort of like someone is buzzing in your ear ALL. DAY.LONG.) Anyway, because of the back/ leg issue Ive been doing a lot more core exercises these days. So, this workout recruits a lot of stabilizing muscles from your back, hips and abdominal region plus incorporates a good deal of balancing exercises. By the way, I also bought the book Pain-Free by Pete Ecosque and Ive been doing his recommended e-cises (which are basically stretches) in addition to my 30-minute workout program and they seem to really be helping a lot. My 30-minute workout program below not only works your core, but its a full-body workout that combines strength, flexibility and endurance exercises. Its a circuit training routine and the perfect way to get functionally fit in a very short amount of time. I recommend doing this workout 3 times a week. This is very doable as I know everybody can squeeze a 30-minute workout in (especially one that you can do at home) at least 3 times a week!! Getting physically fit need not be a full time job. Health programs put focus on fun

FOR fun exercise and healthy eating programs for people with disabilities, it's hard to go past Here's to Life Redlands Inc. (HTLR).

The not-for-profit, Cleveland organisation has been running its popular Dancercise program since 2008 and began running its Healthy Eating program last year, with both programs attracting students, clients and staff members from at least 14 special schools and disabilities organisations.

The fun, rewarding wellbeing programs are designed for people with almost all levels of disability, and help increase participants' fitness, strength, cognition and coordination in addition to raising their awareness of healthy food choices.

HTLR manager Tony Meggitt said participants did not have to be linked to a service provider to access these programs.

"Our unique offerings provide an opportunity to take part in carefully designed, high quality programs conducted in a bright, friendly and colourful atmosphere by our fun, highly qualified instructors with many years' experience," he said.

"No one who attends our Dancercise programs - teens to 60s - is considered unable to take part, and all participants are actively assisted and encouraged to grow their abilities."

Tony said Dancercise was based around music, dance, singing, laughter and learning, and participation in the Healthy Eating program was open to everyone who first participated in the Dancercise program.

He said the program was designed and conducted by Here's to Life in partnership with QUT's department of nutrition and dietetics, and involved all participants in the preparation and consumption of a nutritious two-course lunch, as well as giving them valuable, fun, nutrition education.

"If you have students, clients or family members you think might benefit from attending our unique programs, speak to your service provider or Here's to Life directly," he said.

Here's to Life's Dancercise and Healthy Eating programs for people with disabilities run every Monday and Wednesday.

Magnolia Park a recreational gem in Folsom

Magnolia Park is a gem nestled right in the heart of Folsom that offers not only a dynamic youth sports program but also a great walking trail, playground with picnic tables and benches, a huge gymnasium and two classroom-style rooms that can be rented for events and where the centers weekly art and exercise programs are held.

The park opened with much fanfare on Feb. 14, 2000, but it did not boast the well-maintained ball fields and outdoor facilities that exist today.

Park manager Jennifer Goings has had a lot to do with getting the park to where it is today by securing grants and other money to provide the existing playground equipment, sports equipment, the exceptional walking trail, sidewalks, irrigation systems for the ball fields as well as various summer camp programs.

With the walking trail being about 10 years old, we have already made some repairs and are about to make additional repairs in the next few weeks, Goings said. The trail was initially asphalt, which was sinking and cracking.

Asphalt is being replaced with concrete and the paths width is being increased at the same time. Plans also include to freshen up the playground area with additional picnic tables and landscaping.

The playground is the first area visitors see when they come in so we want to make sure it looks great, she said.

The three baseball/softball fields are lighted as is the football/soccer field.

The Fendlason Community Center is a 7,000-square-foot gymnasium suitable for basketball, volleyball, pickleball as well as special events such as receptions, dog shows, tool shows, family reunions and award banquets.

The center also boasts two classroom-style meeting rooms that open into one large room if necessary. The rooms are used weekly for art classes, Jazzercise, yoga, Pilates, wedding showers, parties, meetings and other events.

The park offers three programs in six week sessions. There are three art classes, two for adults and one for children as well as yoga and pilates. An archery session for children 9-18 will begin soon.
