1000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Shows Off Incredible Weight Loss Results On TikTok – Screen Rant

Summary

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has dropped nearly 400 pounds and recently shared a new TikTok video to flaunt her weight-loss results. The Illinois-based reality TV star began her journey on TLC in early 2020. She struggled with morbid obesity and couldnt get out of her bad habits like food addiction and sedentary lifestyle. In 2023, Tammy suffered a major health scare and had to be in a medically-induced coma. The near-death experience encouraged her to pour in more effort and join an Ohio-based rehab center. Within months, she lost hundreds of pounds and transformed herself.

Tammy has shared many post-op pictures of herself on social media. Most recently, Tammy took to TikTok and surprised her followers by posting some of her latest photos. The first snap showed her sporting a leather jacket and flaunting her side view, looking incredible and much healthier than before.

The second picture showed her wearing a pink top, appearing happy and content. The last few photos showed a close-up of Tammys face, where she had a prominent jawline. The 1000-Lb Sisters star used the song Big One by the American hip-hop duo Flyana Boss in her TikTok.

Fans were rightfully stunned by Tammys post and shared their support for her in the comments. A social media user wrote, Im so proud of you, Tam, adding that the TLC star looks cute in overalls. Another user commented, I've followed you since day one girl, adding that it has been worth following Tammys journey because she looks amazing after her weight loss. Someone even wrote, you are looking awesome. very proud of you keep up the hard work, telling the reality TV icon not ever to stop making her show because she and her family are adorable.

Most of Tammys followers are happy for her because theyve seen her struggle over the last five years. Theyve witnessed her hitting rock bottom, losing her sense of worth, being unable to do little things, and floundering with mental problems. In 1000-Lb Sisters season 5, Tammy also lost her husband, which greatly affected her. However, she seems to have recovered, and viewers are happy. Tammys transformation is one of a kind, and its understandable why she gets so much support. Unlike Amy, who quickly dropped weight, Tammy had to work harder to see results.

Tammy is the underdog in her story. Shes an example of sheer dedication and hard work. Weight loss isnt just a way for her to feel better about herself, but its also an inspiration for countless people around the globe. Its great that she has decided to use her new and healthy physique to motivate her followers with her results. Instead of posting regular content, the 1000-Lb Sisters cast member uses her platform and fame to let people know its never too late to turn their lives around, even if they are over 700 pounds.

The 1000-lb Sisters finale aired Tuesday, February 6 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.

Does Medicare cover weight-loss treatments? – East Idaho News

Question

Dear Savvy Senior,

Does Medicare cover any weight-loss treatments for overweight retirees? I just turned 65 and need to lose about 100 pounds and would like to know if Medicare can help.

Overweight Owen

Dear Owen,

Yes, traditional Medicare does indeed cover some weight-loss treatments like counseling and certain types of surgery for overweight beneficiaries, but unfortunately it doesnt cover weight-loss programs or medications. Heres what you should know.

For beneficiaries to receive available Medicare-covered weight-loss treatments your body mass index (BMI), which is an estimate of your body fat based on your height and weight, must be 30 or higher.

A BMI of 30 or above is considered obese and increases your risk for many health conditions, such as some cancers, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke and sleep apnea. To find out your BMI, the National Institutes of Health has a free calculator that you can access online here.

If you find that your BMI is 30 or higher, Medicare Part B will cover up to 12 months of weight-loss counseling conducted by a medical professional in a primary care setting (like a doctors office).

Most counseling sessions entail an initial obesity screening, a dietary assessment and behavioral therapy designed to help you lose weight by focusing on diet and exercise.

Medicare also covers certain types of bariatric and metabolic surgery for morbidly obese beneficiaries who have a BMI of 35 or above and have at least one underlying obesity-related health condition, such as diabetes or heart disease. You must also show that youve tried to lose weight in the past through dieting or exercise and have been unsuccessful.

These procedures make changes to your digestive system to help you lose weight and improve the health of your metabolism.

Some common bariatric surgical procedures covered include Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, which reduces the stomach to a small pouch that makes you feel full even following small meals. And laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, which inserts an inflatable band that creates a gastric pouch encircling the top of the stomach.

Unfortunately, original Medicare does not cover weight-loss programs such as fitness or gym memberships, meal delivery services or popular weight-loss programs such as Jenny Craig, Noom and WW (formerly Weight Watchers).

Medicare also does not cover any weight-loss drugs, but it does cover FDA-approved diabetes drugs that have unintentionally become very popular for weight loss.

Medicare Part D plans cover Ozempic and Mounjaro for diabetes only, not for weight loss! So, your doctor will need to prescribe these medications for diabetes in order to get them covered.

Medicare also does not cover Wegovy or Zepbound because theyre approved only for weight loss.

The reason behind the weight-loss drug omission is the Medicare Modernization Act, which specifically excluded them back when the law was written 20 years ago. They also excluded drugs used for cosmetic purposes, fertility, hair growth and erectile dysfunction.

Without insurance, weight-loss medications are expensive, often costing $1,000 to $1,300 a month. To help curb costs, try websites like GoodRX.com or SingleCare.com to find the best retail prices in your area. Or, if your income is limited, try patient assistance programs through Eli Lilly , which makes Mounjaro and Zepbound, or Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic and Wegovy.

If you happen to be enrolled in a private Medicare Advantage plan, you may have coverage for gym memberships and some weight loss and healthy food delivery programs. These are considered expanded supplemental benefits and have gradually been added to some plans to provide coverage for nutrition, health and wellness. Contact your plan to see what it provides.

The #1 Most Effective Exercise for Weight Loss – Eat This, Not That

If you're on a mission to shed some extra pounds, you need to have a solid fitness plan in place. When it comes to weight loss, not all exercises are created equal, and finding the right ones can make or break your success in achieving your weight-loss goals. But what if we told you there's one exercise that stands out among the rest in terms of its effectiveness for melting away body fat? We spoke with TJ Mentus, CPT, a certified personal trainer at Garage Gym Reviews, who unveils the number one most effective exercise that can kickstart your weight-loss journey and transform the way you approach fitness.

It's no secret that maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for overall health and well-being. Studies show that weight management is associated with significant reductions in chronic disease risk, such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Beyond the physical health benefits, keeping a healthy weight can also improve your mental health. For example, a 2021 meta-review concluded that having a healthy body weight can support good mental health by enhancing confidence and instilling a positive mindset.

Read on to learn more about the top trainer-recommended weight loss exercise and how to incorporate it into your workout routine. Then, when you're finished, be sure to check out The #1 Daily At-Home Workout To Lose Weightfor Good.

So just what is the best exercise for shedding extra pounds? According to Mentus, it's power walking. "Power walking can be done almost anywhere, no equipment is required, and all you need is a good pair of walking shoes," says Mentus. "Plus, walking is low-impact and creates little wear and tear on the body, meaning you can recover quickly and go for a long walk daily. This repeatability means you'll burn more calories over the course of a week than tougher, more intense workouts that you can only do for short periods and need to take a rest day from."

Not only is power walking a highly versatile exercise for weight loss, but it requires no special equipment and is a low-impact activity that minimizes stress on your body while torching calories.

RELATED: People Are 'Retro Walking' & Swear by the Benefits: 'My Posture Is Now Nearly Perfect'

While the total number of calories burned while walking may be less than that of a higher-intensity workout, power walking provides a more sustainable approach to weight management without putting excess strain on your joints and muscles. Plus, there's plenty of research out there that links walking to weight loss.

"Walking puts your heart rate in a zone where fat is the main energy source," Mentus explains. "This means that most calories burned from a walk will be from fat. So the overall calories may be less than a boot camp-style workout, but instead of burning carbs, your body will willingly burn fat."

"Go for at least a 30-minute walk daily," suggests Mentus. "However, if you're committed to losing weight, I suggest doing two 30-minute walks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening. If 30 minutes seems too long, start with a 10-minute walk and try to go multiple times a day until you can comfortably walk for 30 minutes without stopping." 6254a4d1642c605c54bf1cab17d50f1e

Starting with shorter, more frequent walks can help you gradually improve your endurance until you can walk for 30 minutes uninterrupted. That being said, be sure to talk to your doctor or healthcare provider before starting any new exercise routine.

RELATED: The Best Daily Workout To Increase Stamina

For an effective power walking workout aimed at weight loss, Mentus recommends starting with a brisk warm-up for five minutes. Follow this with 20 minutes of power walking at a pace that keeps your heart rate elevated. Finish with a five-minute cooldown, and gradually reduce your pace. Feel free to add some hills or inclined to your walk to increase the intensity and incinerate more calories. Following this daily power walking routine will help you achieve your weight loss goals while boosting your cardiovascular health and fitness.

Recent research suggests that engaging in mentally challenging tasks might cause a slight increase in calorie expenditure. It seems that the brains rigorous exercise can contribute to burning calories. However, its crucial to note that the impact on weight loss isnt significant enough to replace traditional methods. The human body, through evolution, is programmed to retain fat. This is because fat plays a crucial role in providing energy and supporting reproduction. Hence, losing weight can be challenging, as the body naturally resists this process. It is reported that more than 80% of people who lose a substantial amount of weight regain it within five years. Therefore, it is essential to recognize that small fluctuations in weight are normal and that blaming oneself for finding it difficult to lose weight is unhelpful. Exercise and dieting are both important for weight loss, with exercise helping to prevent gaining or regaining weight. To read more about these facts, click here.

When WeightWatchers Ended In-Person Meetings, They Held Their Own – The New York Times

On a warm Saturday morning last September, 11 members of the Brooklyn Wellness Crew gathered at the Windsor Terrace Library for their regular meeting. There were two topics on the agenda: One, as always, was food. The other was even more fraught.

These women, all WeightWatchers devotees, were furious at the company, which had shut down its in-person meetings in Brooklyn in March 2023. One member said she felt like shed been fired from a job.

I felt deeply betrayed, said Naomi Nemtzow, a 74-year-old artist who has been a WeightWatchers member off and on since the early 1990s. In 2015, she lost 55 pounds; she credited in-person meetings workshops, in WeightWatchers parlance with helping her stay on track.

So did Dianne Stillman, 76, who was feeling a bit like a woman without a country. In her ideal universe, shed have been at her WeightWatchers workshop at the Fairfield Inn on Third Avenue, near Downtown Brooklyn. It was one of a handful of official workshops in the borough, where members stepped on a scale to weigh in and heard lectures from a trained facilitator.

But WW International, as the company is now known, had stopped holding that meeting, along with every other one in Brooklyn. In-person attendance had dropped significantly since the start of the pandemic, specifically among premium members, who were paying $44.95 a month for unlimited access to virtual meetings and other digital tools.

According to WW, before the pandemic there were 3,300 in-person workshops throughout the United States. That number had dwindled to 825 by March 2023. As of January 2024, WeightWatchers website lists 1,040 workshops nationwide, with at least 59 held online.

A doctor who lost 80 pounds shares her diet before and after losing weight – Yahoo Lifestyle UK

Dr. Betsy Grunch lost 50 pounds by intermittent fasting and eating a high-protein diet.

She maintained her weight loss for over four years, before losing more on Mounjaro.

Grunch cut down on fast food and focuses on whole foods, she said.

Dr. Betsy Grunch knows from experience that losing weight long-term isn't as simple as just eating less and moving more.

Although she is a neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery, she didn't actually receive much nutritional education in her medical training and found herself trapped in an unhealthy cycle of weight loss and regain on fad diets, the 43-year-old from the outskirts of Atlanta told Business Insider.

By educating herself about nutrition, she was able to lose 50 pounds and keep it off for over four years. For her, that involved intermittent fasting combined with a high-protein diet focusing on whole foods.

But she also learned there's more to weight loss than just what you eat. It was also important for her to know her goals and try to maintain a positive relationship with her body.

"Weight loss has such a huge psychological component," Grunch said.

To lose another 30 pounds, Grunch took Mounjaro, a diabetes drug part of the buzzy new class of medications known as GLP-1s, off-label.

Crucially, Grunch still eats a similar diet from when she started her weight loss journey in 2018.

As a busy doctor and mother to two children, finding time to prepare nutritious food is challenging for Grunch.

Before losing weight, she'd regularly eat whatever fast food she could quickly grab at the hospital, such as pizza or Chick-fil-A, she said.

Drinks were also a big source of calories for Grunch, who would regularly knock back three or four sugary sodas a day, plus energy-dense coffees such as frappuccinos, she said.

"I didn't realize what the cumulative effects of all that was," Grunch said. "Just like every other American, really."

Story continues

For Grunch, intermittent fasting involves eating all of her food in a six- to eight-hour window and fasting the rest of the time, except for a coffee with some heavy cream and MCT oil in the morning.

Grunch typically eats a large, high-protein lunch based around chicken or fish at 12 p.m. or 1 p.m., and then a lighter dinner, sometimes whatever her kids are having.

Research shows that there's nothing special about intermittent fasting for weight loss (and strictly speaking, Grunch's morning coffee breaks her fast), but it helps some people maintain a calorie deficit, which is the only way to lose weight.

Grunch's high-protein diet helps her to stay feeling full, maintain muscle, and recover from workouts. She also eats lower-carb, and while they're not more fattening than any other food, Grunch said she feels better that way.

She also aims to eat mostly whole foods. "I feel better when I don't eat processed foods and gluten," Grunch said.

Adipex or Adipex-P is the brand name for the prescription weight loss medication Phentermine. It is an anorectic drug that works as an appetite suppressant by stimulating the central nervous system.

Thus, your body receives reduced hunger signals and feels full, which is essential for managing your weight.

Furthermore, it is essential to consume Adipex under the supervision of your healthcare provider as it is known for potential side effects and dependency risks.

Adipex or Phentermine works to promote weight loss through its dual-working mechanism. It works as an appetite suppressant and a central nervous system stimulant, both needed for effective fat loss.

A detailed explanation of the working mechanism is as follows:

Adipex functions as a potent appetite suppressant by targeting the brains hypothalamus. This section of the brain releases hormones to regulate hunger and satiety. Furthermore, it triggers the bodys fight or flight response by secreting neurotransmitters like norepinephrine and dopamine.

As a result, the drug reduces appetite and promotes a full feeling. Consequently, individuals consume fewer calories, facilitating better control over their food intake and supporting weight loss efforts.

Adipex acts as a central nervous system stimulant which helps boost the release of norepinephrine and adrenaline. These two hormones play a crucial role in the bodys energy expenditure.

Passively, this stimulation elevates your bodys metabolic rate, which allows your body to burn more calories, both at work and at rest.

Adipexs unique dual approach works synergistically to help obese people lose weight. However, there are side effects that this prescription medicine can cause, as reported by several users.

Adipex can have several side effects, from mild and temporary to severe. Therefore, Its essential to be aware of the following potential side effects before starting to use Adipex:

PhenGold natural supplement stimulates the bodys metabolic rate. They help convert calories and stored fat into energy faster. This leads to increased fat burning throughout the day.

PhenGold ingredients may block the release of adenosine, helping you feel more energized, focused, and alert. Moreover, it can elevate your mood by helping increase the levels of happy hormones in your body without causing any side effects like jitteriness.

A study by researchers at a renowned university aimed to investigate the effects of caffeine, a widely-used ingredient that acts as an Adipex alternative, on metabolism and fat oxidation.

The caffeine group was given a daily dose of 200mg, equivalent to approximately two cups of coffee, while the control group received a placebo. Both groups underwent a 12-week intervention, during which their body composition, metabolic rate, and fat oxidation were measured at various time points.

The study revealed significant findings regarding caffeines role in weight loss and fat burning. It was observed that the caffeine group had a higher metabolic rate compared to the control group.

Moreover, a randomized controlled trial investigated green tea extracts potential weight loss benefits, a common ingredient in the Adipex alternatives listed above. The study included 100 participants, all of whom were overweight or obese.

The green tea extract group received a daily dose of 500mg of green tea extract, while the placebo group received a dummy pill with no active ingredients. Both groups were instructed to follow a calorie-restricted diet and exercise regularly.

After analyzing the data, the researchers found significant differences between the green tea extract and placebo groups regarding weight loss and fat burning. The green tea extract group experienced more significant reductions in body weight, BMI, waist circumference, and body fat percentage than the placebo group.

While Adipex may seem like a quick fix, it has its fair share of risks and side effects. Instead, consider natural alternatives that can help you achieve your weight loss goals without the potential harm. Here are some reasons why you should choose natural options over Adipex:

One of the main reasons to choose natural alternatives over Adipex is the safety and health concerns associated with the medication. Adipex is a stimulant that can increase heart rate and blood pressure, potentially leading to serious cardiovascular complications.

It can also cause insomnia, dizziness, and mood swings. On the other hand, natural alternatives are generally safe and do not come with these risks. They promote overall health and well-being rather than relying on potentially harmful substances.

While Adipex may help you shed pounds quickly, it is often a temporary solution. Once you stop taking the medication, the weight may come back, and in some cases, even more than before. Natural alternatives, such as a balanced diet and regular exercise, promote sustainable weight loss. They encourage long-term lifestyle changes that can help you maintain a healthy weight for the long haul.

Adipex is a prescription medication, meaning you need to consult with a doctor and obtain a prescription before you can start using it. This can be time-consuming and may involve additional costs. Natural alternatives, however, do not require a prescription. You can incorporate various natural methods into your weight loss journey without the hassle of doctor visits and potential side effects.

Natural alternatives offer a holistic approach to weight loss, focusing on the overall well-being of your body and mind. They encourage healthy eating habits, regular exercise, stress management, and sufficient sleep.

By addressing multiple aspects of your health, natural alternatives promote overall wellness and can lead to better weight loss results in the long run. They also help you develop healthier habits that benefit you beyond losing weight.

Natural alternatives prioritize addressing the root causes of weight gain, such as poor dietary choices, sedentary lifestyles, hormonal imbalances, or emotional eating. By addressing these underlying factors, individuals can make lasting changes that support their overall health and well-being.

Adipex, on the other hand, primarily focuses on suppressing appetite without addressing the underlying issues.

Unlike Adipex, natural alternatives generally have fewer side effects and risks associated with their use. For example, herbal supplements like PhenQ, Phen24, and others listed above are often used as natural weight loss aids with minimal side effects.

However, its essential to consult a healthcare professional before starting any natural weight loss regimen to ensure it is safe and appropriate for your needs.

Choosing natural alternatives over Adipex is wise for those seeking weight loss solutions. Natural alternatives prioritize long-term results, address underlying causes, take a holistic approach, and have fewer side effects and risks than prescription medications like Adipex.

Remember to consult a healthcare professional before starting any weight loss regimen to ensure it aligns with your health needs and goals.

Finding a suitable Adipex alternative is essential for individuals seeking effective weight loss solutions. It may protect their bodies from potential side effects and risks associated with prescription medications like Phentermine.

Our recommended Adipex alternatives are formulated using clinically proven natural ingredients, reducing the risk of adverse side effects.

Ultimately, the choice is yours based on your needs and preferences. However, these options present safe alternatives to support your successful weight loss journey.

What is the new NHS weight loss pill that turns into a balloon? – Yahoo Lifestyle UK

The swallowable balloon, developed by Allurion, could help obese patients lose a significant amount of weight. (Allurion)

The NHS will offer a new treatment for weight loss, with the first two patients having received it in Somerset.

The new, non-surgical procedure involves a balloon that patients swallow in the form of a capsule or large pill. It was approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) in 2020, but has just become available on the NHS.

It comes as the UK continues to deal with growing obesity rates. Britain has higher levels of obesity than major European countries, including France, Italy, Germany and Spain.

Obesity is estimated to cost the NHS about 6.5 billion every year, as it has been linked to other health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.

But it is hoped that the new treatment can help patients with severe obesity to lose weight and reduce the risk of disease.

Heres how it works:

The weight loss pill, developed by Allurion, is a capsule that contains a balloon. Patients swallow it alongside a thin tube.

Once swallowed, an X-ray will be taken to confirm the capsule is in the right position in the stomach. After that, the balloon is filled with 550ml of water via the thin tube.

A second X-ray will check if the balloon is full and positioned correctly in the stomach, and the tube is removed.

Experts say the procedure that 15 minutes, and does not require an endoscopy or anaesthetic, nor does it require patients to stay in hospital for a longer period of time.

Once it is within the stomach and filled with water, the balloon will take up room in the stomach.

This acts as an appetite suppressant, as patients will not feel the need to or be able to eat as much before they feel full.

Professor Richard Welbourn, consultant bariatric surgeon at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, said that patients are expected to lose 10% to 15% of their weight in four months, which improves quality of life and makes patients healthier.

He added that the procedure is better for the NHS and a much-improved experience for our patients.

Story continues

Once the procedure is done, the inflated balloon stays in the stomach for four months.

After that period of time passes, a time-activated release valve automatically opens. This allows the water-filled balloon to empty and it will later pass naturally through the gastrointestinal tract.

Following the treatment, Allurion provides a nutrition and lifestyle programme to help keep patients on track and to maintain their weight loss.

Reports suggest that patients managed to keep 95% of their weight off for a year after the treatment.

However, any long-term weight loss maintenance depends on patients ability to stick to their new lifestyle, according to Nuffield Health.

Long-term weight loss can help improve obesity-related diseases such as hypertension and mobility issues.

Professor Welbourn highlighted that it can help people with Type 2 diabetes and said: People with severe obesity are prone to diseases, such as Type 2 diabetes, which can be reversed with weight loss.

According to the NHS, in order to be eligible for weight loss surgery or other weight loss programme the health service offers, you must meet certain criteria.

These include:

Having a body mass index (BMI) of 40 of more, or a BMI between 35 and 40 and a serious condition that might improve if you lost weight

Youve tried all other weight loss methods but struggle to lose weight or keep it off

You agree to long-term follow-up after the surgery, including making healthy lifestyle changes and attending regular check-ups

Youre fit and healthy enough to have surgery under general anaesthesia

‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Scheana Shay’s Weight Loss: What To Know – Women’s Health

With season 11 of Bravo's

The situation was understandably stressfuland had an adverse affect on Scheana's health. In August 2023, the 38-year-old revealed on her podcast, Scheananigans, that she lost an unhealthy amount of weight as all the "Scandoval" drama went down.

This isnt the first time Scheana has opened up about her weight in recent years. In the podcast episode, she shared that since becoming a mom to her 2-year-old daughter Summer, she avoided the scale, not wanting to weigh herself. I didnt want to get fixated on the number, she explained on her podcast to nutritionist Lauren Hubert.

She's also been open about an eating disorder she had at 20. During the Vanderpump Rules season 5 reunion, Scheana defended herself after former co-star Stassi Schroeder said Scheana was anorexic. I was doing any quick fix to get the weight off, she explained to her castmates in 2017, per PEOPLE.

Scheanas transparency regarding her relationship with her diet and weight has been consistent throughout her time as a reality TV star. Ahead, everything Scheanas revealed about her weight loss.

In 2019, the Vanderpump Rules star told Life & Style magazine that she's been working with trainer-nutritionist Seth Browning on a carb-cycling plan, which consists of rotating days of eating carbs with days of totally skipping them.

"When we first started I was doing three days of no carbs and one day of healthy carbsand that helped kick my body into shape," she said. One of her go-to dinners on a restricted carbs day? "Salmon with lots of grilled vegetables."

The same year, Scheana told US Weekly that she started this specific diet because of one too many football game day snacksand said, "My stomach's getting a little flatter.

When she was partaking in the carb cycling diet she also told US Weekly that she was training hard four to five days a week, a combination of full-body workouts and ones that focused solely on legs, butt, or core.

Scheana and her trainer also shared more of her total body workouts in an e-book called Scheana's Slimdown.

Scheana became a mom in 2021, and while she struggled with postpartum OCD, she wasn't focused on dieting.

I just kept working out and I didnt really drink much during the first yearI was still breastfeeding, Scheana explained on Scheananigans.

During her pregnancy, Scheana did focus on fueling up on healthy foods, adding in more protein and fewer carbs, she said in a YouTube video before giving birth.

I do a protein smoothie almost every day or a Greek yogurt in the morning. I love me some avocado toast with hummus, she explained. For lunch, we do a lot of grilled chicken salads. I eat a lot of salmon for dinner."

Following Scandoval, Scheana shared that she was having an insane few months, resulting in stress and anxiety. Theres been a lot going on that has affected my appetite and working out habits recently and Ive lost more weight, she said.

On top of this, on January 19 at the red carpet premiere of Vanderpump Rules season 11, Scheana shared with PEOPLE that she was diagnosed with OCD after struggling with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and OCD, which began after giving birth to her daughter.

I feel like, especially as a mom, postpartum OCD is something that's not talked about, she said. It's misdiagnosed. A lot of people don't know what's wrong with them. And so once I figured this out, I was like, Oh my God. Now it makes sense.

Since the diagnosis, Scheana had a brain scan and is now taking a brain and power supplement pack, which have been really helping my intrusive thoughts and just overall how Im feeling. She told the publication that shes currently,in a good place.

In the podcast episode, Scheana said that after stepping on the scale and seeing an alarmingly low number, she decided it was time to up the food and the weights. Scheana added that she didn't want to weigh less than 100 pounds.

I dont want to be in the 1-0s because I dont think this is a healthy weight for me, she said, adding, It shows what stress and anxiety does to your body.

Ive had people ask me currently if Im on that and absolutely not. Wouldnt do it. Not for me, Scheana said in the podcast episode. I have friends whoI dont want to name nameswho have made some jokes about it like, Well, after my next baby Ill just get on Ozempic. And I am like, I dont think that is what its there for?

In March 2023, Scheana posted a picture to her Instagram, showing that she was partnering with Hydroxycut, a weight loss supplement brand. She posed in a matching workout set with the brand's product in front of her.

Its about to be #RevengeBodySZN in WeHo. @Hydroxycut #Partner, she wrote in the caption.

In February 2023, when PEOPLE asked her about the rumors she was on Ozempic, Scheana responded, I havent heard of it," adding, I would stick with Hydroxycut.

Our secret is just walking around your house," her husband, Brock Davies said. "You know, get outside and walk. You want to lose some weight, watch what you eat and go outside."
