This is a perfect time to exercise off those unwanted pounds. Why not do it free and come with your friends to the Bellamy Recreation Center, located at Royal Lane Park in Clinton. You can go at your own pace to build your personal goals. We have a warm environment and an instructor to help you throughout workouts or you can work out on your own through walking every week day.

Wendy Taylor and Jessica Newton have been going Insane with Shaun T since June of 2011 at the Bellamy Recreation Center! During the summer, Wendy lost 10 pounds! From November 2011- the beginning of January 2012, both Wendy and Jessica have seen amazing results! Newton lost 3 inches off her waist and Taylor has lost two! Both Jessica and Wendy encourage anyone who is interested in seeing amazing fitness results to join them at the Bellamy Recreation Center for a FREE workout!

Newton, the class instructor, encourages those interested to bring a towel, water, dumbbell weights, but most of all bring yourself. Newton will soon start a new program which will include the use of Shaun T’s Insanity and The Asylum. For more information on dates and times, please contact Jessica Newton at 910-299-4900, ext.3072 to see if this workout is best for you. Newton encourages anyone 15 years of age and older to join her for a fitness challenge!

The Bellamy Recreation Center offers many other free workout programs for all types of fitness levels. On Thursdays at 10:00 am Senior Adults are welcomed to join a very low impact exercise class titled “the Stronger Seniors Program”. This program allows senior adults to exercise while having the luxury of using a chair for support. It focuses on balance, strength, stretching, and cardio.

The Bellamy Recreation Center also offers Chair Yoga. For those who would like to try yoga but have a hard time performing moves on the floor, this program allows you to practice the art of yoga while sitting in a chair! Chair Yoga is available on Fridays at 10 a.m.

The Bellamy Recreation Center also opens the door for anyone who would like to walk. Monday-Friday anyone may walk from 8:30 a.m-noon and from 2-5 p.m. During this time, walkers have the luxury of exercising in a heated gym during these cold winter months to music provided by the Bellamy Recreation Center.

All workout programs listed are free and are open to the public! The staff at the Bellamy Recreation Center would like to help you reach your fitness goals through our programs. We encourage everyone to live a healthy lifestyle! We hope to see you soon!
