18-01-2012 12:25 This is a 3-hour very practical and hands on workshop.You will learn how to incorporate small balls and resistance bands into your fitness programs. Balls can be used to encourage fluidity and rhythm, help modify exercises and postures and to strengthen muscles and joints. Bands have been shown to improve muscular strength and endurance which promote functional independence. Based on a progressive series of exercises and postures that focus on the core and sitting posture. You learn stabilizing techniques to improve overall strength, balance and flexibility of frail older adults.
