This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot OLeary were thrilled to celebrate the release of Adeles new single Easy On Me and welcomed Maria, who performs as the singer onto the show. Following Adeles own weight loss, Maria had a gastric bypass and Alison praised her for honestly opening u about her transformation.

Maria admitted to being embarrassed when fans of Adele would mention her weight loss so she sped up the process of losing weight.

While she originally planned gastric surgery, Maria moved up the date as she worried shed no longer be able to work as an impersonator.

However, she insisted she lost weight for health reasons too, not just to work as Adele.

She added she still isnt happy with her weight and plans to lose more.

I felt a huge amount of embarrassment if I'm gonna be completely and utterly honest with you. I was already singing and a couple of people came up to me saying, Have you seen Adele, how slim she is? Maria explained.

I had gained a lot of weight at that time, and it was that internal dread and I've gotta do this night after night.

It's such a personal thing for me.

Personally it's for my health, and I just wanted to feel more confident and not have that fear thing of Have you seen Adele.

Maria added: This is more for help as well. To go out and not be able to show your arms, thats just not nice.

I just get them out, Alison said turning to Dermot. Ive got flabby arms but I just get them out.

Maria continued: Arms are alright when youve got a bit of volume but when you take that away, theyre just saggy old balloons.

As Alison asked if it was for her health, Maria assured: Exactly, and this is more for health as well, and to go out and not be able show off your arms because of skin, it's not nice.
