If you're aware of your bodybuilding abilities, you'll have it already.

Just to be sure.

We'll help you bring back your memory, and bring you up.

Dave Palumbo is 50 years old and is among the most admired and well-known individuals in bodybuilding.

He was a bodybuilder in the competitive world who is retired.

However, he's still active in the sport since he manages RX Muscle, the RX Muscle website and forums.

He frequently hosts podcasts with celebrities, bodybuilders and professional athletes from all different walks of life.

He is Nutritionist.

He has also dabbled in personal training.

He is even running his own line of supplements.

Dave remains in great condition, even though at one time Dave had an incredible body.

Before he began bodybuilding,

But, he was extremely athletic.

Dave was interested in athletics and sports at the age of a child.

In reality, in his college days in the early years He competed as an extremely effective long-distance athlete.

He was always working out in order to keep fit to run.

As he began to see improvement in his body.

He started to notice himself becoming less enthralled with running.

and more obsessed with weight training and bodybuilding instead.

He began his training in a serious manner in the hopes of taking part in a competition.

In 1990, he appeared on his first performance.

He weighed about 170 pounds and stood at 5,9 inches tall.

He made a very thoughtful 6 6.

For many, it would be considered a massive success.

However, to Dave this was a complete failure.

He used his first 6 6 place result as an incentive to gain weight and push himself harder than ever before.

In 1995, a brand completely new and better Dave Palumbo came to the forefront.

Today, close to 80 pounds more.

He competed in at the NPC Junior Nationals and took first overall.

His highest-ever finish was in 2003 in the NPC USA Championships where he finished 2 2nd as an extremely heavyweight.

Dave was among the largest and most beautiful bodybuilders to perform on the stage.

As time passed it became apparent that something was happening to his body.

Time is catching up to us every day, except for Dave.

His body seemed to get more and more ill over the course of the week!

His physique was transformed so dramatically that people started referring to this transformation as "Palumboism.".

What is Palumboism?

We now are aware of whom Dave Palumbo is.

We now have to consider what Palumboism is.

We said that he was a professional, but he was never a professional.

Dave was among the most admired and powerful bodybuilders working in the field.

He was large, lean and beautiful.

As time went on but his body was beginning to decline.

There were no obvious injuries and appeared to not miss a moment in the training.

What's the matter?

Images surfaced of Dave appearing on stage, and he began to laugh. image online.

We all know how unfriendly the bodybuilding online community can be.

The picture went viral.

In the picture, Dave's stomach was like it was bloated and twice as large as it was previously.

His muscles appeared like they were swollen and bloated He looked as if the sufferer of an ounce of muscular atrophy, too.

He appeared to be finished He looked shabby, which the truth was that he was.

His performance was severely affected and he was forced leave the stage to look for new opportunities within a short time.

A Palumbo-related Cause:

In reality there isn't a clear reason for the condition referred to as Palumboism.

Although everyone has their own opinion, everyone has their own.

The majority of opinion however is that it's caused by an sensitivity to the humans' growth hormone.

HGH results in what is commonly referred to as what is known as a growth gut in bodybuilders..

This makes slim bodybuilders look fat.

They also appear to be pregnant or have the effects of a beer stomach.

HGH guts are a result of the hormone that causes human growth causes the organs to expand and expand in the abdomen.

As they expand and grow they put pressure onto the abdomen, which causes it to look bloated , and expanding.

There are theories that suggest different causes.

However, HGH abuse and possibly insulin abuse in a certain degree.

It is believed to be the most important factor.

It is important to remember that it was a decade earlier.

Dave Palumbo faced criminal charges for possession and distribution of human growth hormones to other athletes with whom he was training.

He admitted guilt to the accusations and was sentenced to five months in federal prison.

As a result, it appears, he obviously had access HGH.

Then, he was found guilty of facilitating with it.

It's not beyond the realm of possibility that he could use this hormone in the bodybuilding contests he competed in.

Are Palumboism A Cease?

A few people were so stunned to learn that the Dave's body changed drastically and in such a short time.

They believed that they were convinced he was sick and suffering from a plethora of ailments.

His body was transformed, so did the muscle mass levels and even his face appeared to alter.

The truth is, however, that Palumboism isn't an illness.

And , contrary to popular belief.

It's all caused by the use of HGH as well as other hormones, and illegal substances and drugs.

Does Palumboism only affect bodybuilders?

If you're familiar with bodybuilding, you are probably familiar.

You'll be aware the fact that Dave Palumbo is not the only athlete who has suffered the apparent negative effects of HGH as well as other compounds and hormones.

Bodybuilders from other countries, pros and amateur.

I've also experienced pain as well, and will be looking at these issues to conclude the article today.

Then, there is the question as to whether or not Palumboism can be considered a religion.

Who Was the Tallest Person to Ever Live? – DISCOVER Magazine

According to theGuinness Book of World Records, Robert Wadlow of Alton, Illinois, is the tallest man who has ever lived. He was 8 foot 11 inches and weighed in at 439 lbs. But he had a sad life, plagued with injury due to his towering height and the weight thatput pressure on his joints and feet.

Wadlow died in 1940 at just 22 years old due to a blister on his ankle that became infected and triggered septic shock in his body.

"He is a pre-acromegalic giant of phenomenal size, molded on a vast scale, colossal and stupendous in bulk, truly Gargantuan in all his proportions, and symmetrically built," Charles Humberd, a doctor who studied Wadlow, wrote in a 1937JAMA article.

(Credit: Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons)

While it might seem surprising that a tiny blister could cause the death of such a huge man, being a giant is hard on the human body. The sheer size of his feet the largest in the world at a whopping size 37 meant he was constantly battling foot injuries that were a common threat to his life.

Read More: Biologist Offers Insight on the Human Foot

At age 17, he was hospitalized due to a foot infection. According to Humberd, he had no sensations in his feet and, as a result, was prone to severe infections. What's more, finding shoes that large wasn't just difficult, it was pricey, reportedly costing upwards of $2,000 a pair in today's money. Wadlow toured with the International Shoe Company to offset the cost of each pair which meant he was on his feet too often. And at nearly three feet taller than the average male, this wasn't sustainable.

In 1940, he complained of a fever after riding in a parade for the Manistee National Forest Festival in Michigan. After refusing to go to the hospital, Wadlow went to sleep and did not wake up. His eventual cause of death was an ankle blister due to chaffing from his leg brace, which went untreated. He was buried in a 10-foot 9-inch steel coffin that took 16 pallbearers to carry out of the funeral.

Read More: This Hominoid Is The Closest Thing We Have To Giants Existing

Wadlow had a rare condition called pituitary gigantism, which happens when a child or adolescent has too much human growth hormone (HGH), and, as a result, gets very tall. It's caused by a tumor on the pituitary gland.HGHkeeps telling the body to grow until growth plates calledepiphysesin the body fuse into place, and there's no more room for movement. If the growth plates have fused and the body continues to grow, it can also cause the organs to become enlarged.

Other than extreme height, people with gigantism often have other symptoms, including large hands and feet, gaps in their teeth, enlarged internal organs, excessive sweating, delayed puberty and sleeping problems. And sadly, like Wadlow, those with gigantism don't tend to live long lives because the disease comes with so many complications, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart problems, arthritis, type 2 diabetes, increased risk of cancer, spinal issues and vision loss.

Read More: Rare Form of Dwarfism May Protect Against Diabetes & Cancer

Some research has shown that, on the whole, even being slightly taller can be hard on your health. A June 2022 study published inPLOS Geneticsfound that greater height is linked to a variety of cancers as well as heart problems.

The study followed over 289,000 participants and found that being taller puts you at a greater risk of cardiovascular conditions, varicose veins, conditions of the skin and bones, neuropathy, breast and colorectal cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Another study, published in the May 2002 issue of theWestern Journal of Medicine, found that "compared with northern Europeans, shorter southern Europeans had substantially lower all-cause mortality rates."

Science seems to show that bigger and taller isn't always better. While we may want our kids to grow big and tall, and we may have wished to be taller ourselves, it's not the best thing for our longevity.

5 Tiger Woods controversies that overshadowed his illustrious career – Sportskeeda

Modified Feb 18, 2023 10:22 GMT

Tiger Woods made a return to the non-major PGA tournament after two years. He did well in his first round after a long time after scoring 2-under 69 on the first day. However, this was not all that happened on Thursday. On the ninth hole, Tiger Woods handed a tampon to his good friend Justin Thomas' hands after shooting a longer tee shot than JT.

Initially, what felt like harmless banter between the two friends, became the topic of debate on Golf Twitter, causing severe criticism of the 82-time winner on Tour. This is not the first time Woods has found himself in the controversy. In his career spanning over three decades, Tiger has often been caught up in a few unwanted incidents.

Here's a look at five of the controversies:

This is the most significant and most controversial incident with Tiger Woods. Initially, a report came in from the tabloids that Woods was involved in an illicit affair with nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel. A voicemail was then published by US Weekly which was allegedly left by the golfer. Woods initially refuted the claims but later admitted that he had cheated. Over the next few months, several women came forward alleging that they had a sexual relationship with Woods during his eight-year marriage to Nordegren.

Woods took a break from the game after the revelations.

In May 2017, Woods was arrested by Florida police for driving under the influence of alcohol. The golf superstar was found to have painkillers, sleep drugs, and an ingredient active in marijuana in his body, according to reports. He pleaded guilty under the charge of reckless driving. and underwent treatment for his addiction to pain medication.

In 2010, there were rumors that Woods was using performance-enhancing drugs, especially the human growth hormone (HGH). Canadian sports medicine specialist Anthony Galea went under investigation for whether he distributed the PED to Woods and others.

Later, no evidence was found to support these claims.

The incident happened before Tiger's Infidelity went public. Tiger Woods was summoned by the police on November 27, 2009, after his Cadillac Escalade SUV hit a fire hydrant and a tree. Police reported that he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Two days earlier, a report was published in the National Enquirer, alleging Woods of having an affair with a woman, which was true. Speculations were there that the incident happened after his wife Elin confronted him.

The divorce was inevitable after what had happened over the past few months. Woods and Nordegren went through a $750 million (as per several reports) divorce in 2010. Before the divorce, he had already lost several million dollars from the sponsors courtesy of these controversies.

5 factors that affect how long it takes for you to lose weight – GQ India

To set realistic expectations, we spoke to leading health experts to learn about how long it takes you to lose weight and the factors that affect weight loss. Heres their best advice. Losing weight is a subjective issue as it depends from person to person. In reality, there is no stipulated time for losing weight. For some, it may take two months while for others it can take up to six months. Certain factors play a major role in determining how fast or slow you will lose weight. Your current body weight is an important aspect as it directs your metabolism rate and how many calories you burn. Besides, your sleeping pattern and lifestyle are two essential factors when it comes to losing weight. If you have an erratic lifestyle that includes irregular eating, consumption of fast food, and lack of sleep, your body will take more time to respond to exercise and your weight loss process will be slower," says Komal Patel, clinical nutritionist, Fit India ambassador, and founder, Diet Studio.

Your metabolism, or the rate at which your body burns calories, can also affect how quickly you lose weight. People with a faster metabolism may find it easier to lose weight than those with a slower metabolism. The healthy weight loss rate is losing 500 gms to 1 kg per week, remarks Dr Rohini Patil, nutritionist, and CEO, of Nutracy Lifestyle.

The number one factor that decides how long you will take to lose weight is directly related to the calories you consume. If you've never counted your calories and you struggle to lose weight, it's a great idea to count them for a short period to help you build an understanding of portion sizes and change your perceptions about food. Once you learn and know better and become more mindful you can stop counting calories. And while we are highlighting a caloric deficit here, the quality of those calories in terms of nutrients and macros matters largely. While a load of other factors plays a huge role, this one is key and I am speaking from personal experience, states Nyela Kapadia, fitness trainer and co-founder of Intermittent Fasting and Mindful Living.

The number of calories you consume each day will affect how quickly you lose weight. Eating fewer calories than you burn will cause your body to burn stored fat, leading to weight loss. Additionally, regular physical activity can help increase the number of calories you burn each day, which can help you lose weight more quickly, adds Dr Rohini Patil.

While many factors affect how long it takes to lose weight, there is this one factor that is the most underrated, which is sleep. Sleep is an important factor that decides how quickly you would mobilise fat weight. Sleep deprivation hinders our restoration process, which impacts our hormonal health and muscle mass directly. It also leads to more cravings for high-calorie foods rich in refined carbs and sugar, says nutritionist Lovneet Bhullar Batra.

Apart from having healthy eating habits and including physical activity in your routine, getting enough sleep is very important. One should aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep at night. Getting a good nights sleep helps you make healthier food choices. Moreover, lack of sleep negatively impacts hormones that regulate your appetite. Thus, your body does not realise when to stop eating, which makes weight loss difficult. Additionally, studies show that your Resting Metabolic Ratethe number of calories your body burns at rest, decreases if you are sleep deprived. Thus, lack of sleep slows your metabolism and may increase your weight, adds Shikha Gupta, hormonal expert, nutritionist, and health coach.

Hormonal imbalances can slow weight loss and encourage weight gain. Hormonal imbalances affect the rate at which you can lose weight in several ways. For instance, thyroid hormones regulate metabolism, and an imbalance in these hormones can slow down metabolism, making it harder to lose weight. Hormones like cortisol and adrenaline affect energy expenditure. High cortisol levels can lead to increased abdominal fat, while adrenaline can boost energy expenditure, which aids weight loss. Hormones such as testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH) play a role in muscle mass. Low levels of these hormones can lead to muscle loss, which makes it harder to lose weight, remarks Prateek Kumar, fitness expert and founder, FitCru.

Extreme dieting is not sustainable and will do more harm to your body than good. The two overlooked factors for hindered weight loss are sleep and yo-yo dieting. Yo-yo dieting is a pattern of losing and regaining weight. Extreme dieting is harmful to those wanting their dream weight goal as it disturbs the bodys metabolism and slows it down. There is no maintenance of weight loss with such a diet, concludes dietitian Garima Goyal.

Human Growth Hormone (hGH) – Cleveland Clinic

What is human growth hormone (hGH)?

Human growth hormone, also known as hGH and somatotropin, is a natural hormone your pituitary gland makes and releases that acts on many parts of the body to promote growth in children. Once the growth plates in your bones (epiphyses) have fused, hGH no longer increases height, but your body still needs hGH. After youve finished growing, hGH helps to maintain normal body structure and metabolism, including helping to keep your blood sugar (glucose) levels within a healthy range.

Hormones are chemicals that coordinate different functions in your body by carrying messages through your blood to your organs, muscles and other tissues. These signals tell your body what to do and when to do it. Your body makes over 50 hormones, and many of them interact with each other, creating a complex web of processes.

Your pituitary gland is a small, pea-sized endocrine gland located at the base of your brain below your hypothalamus. Its made of two lobes: the anterior (front) lobe and posterior (back) lobe. Your anterior lobe makes hGH.

Your pituitary gland is connected to your hypothalamus through a stalk of blood vessels and nerves. This is called the pituitary stalk. Your hypothalamus is the part of your brain that controls functions like blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature and digestion. Through the stalk, your hypothalamus communicates with your pituitary gland and tells it to release certain hormones. In this case, your hypothalamus releases growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), which stimulates your pituitary gland to release hGH, and somatostatin, which prevents (inhibits) that release.

Healthcare providers use a synthetic form of hGH (sometimes called recombinant hGH) to treat certain health conditions, including growth hormone deficiency. You should never take synthetic hGH without a prescription from your provider.

Your pituitary gland normally releases hGH in short bursts (pulses) throughout the day. The release of hGH is mainly controlled by two hormones your hypothalamus releases: growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), which stimulates hGH release, and somatostatin, which prevents (inhibits) hGH release.

Several other endocrine hormones also regulate hGH, including insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). IGF-1 is a major suppressor of GH production, whereas thyroxine, glucocorticoids and ghrelin stimulate hGH release.

IGF-1 thats released by your liver is one of the best-characterized effects of hGH activity. IGF-1 plays a critical role in preventing (inhibiting) the release of the hGH through a negative feedback loop by stimulating somatostatin and inhibiting GHRH release. However, hGH and IGF-1 secretion are regulated by each other, where hGH triggers IGF-1 release and the IGF-1 inhibits hGH release in a feedback loop. In healthy people, hGH release is inhibited by hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and stimulated by sleep, stress, exercise, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and amino acids.

Human growth hormone has two main functions: stimulating growth (mainly in children) and impacting metabolism (how your body turns the food you eat into energy).

Human growth hormone triggers growth in nearly every tissue and organ in your body. However, its most well-known for its growth-promoting effect on cartilage and bone, especially in the adolescent years during puberty. Cells in cartilage called chondrocytes and cells in bones called osteoblasts receive signals from hGH to increase replication and thus allow for growth in size.

Once the growth plates in a childs bones have fused, hGH no longer increases height. Instead, hGH helps to maintain normal body structure throughout the rest of your life.

Metabolism consists of the chemical reactions in your body that change the food you eat into energy. All of the cells in your body need energy to function properly. Several different complex processes are involved in metabolism.

hGH impacts metabolism primarily by increasing the production of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and its effect on cells in your body. IGF-1 is a hormone similar in structure to insulin that manages the effects of hGH in your body. Insulin is an essential hormone your pancreas makes that helps regulate your blood sugar (glucose) levels by decreasing them. Like insulin, IGF-1 has glucose-lowering effects.

Your body normally carefully regulates your blood glucose levels. Blood glucose, or sugar, is the main sugar found in your blood. You get glucose from carbohydrates in the food you eat. This sugar is an important source of energy and provides nutrients to your body's organs, muscles and nervous system.

Insulin is the main hormone your pancreas makes to lower blood glucose levels when they get too high, and glucagon is the main hormone your pancreas makes to raise glucose levels when they get too low. Other hormones can counteract the effects of insulin, such as epinephrine (adrenaline) and cortisol.

While hGH normally increases blood glucose levels when they get too low, if you have excess amounts of hGH in your body, it can counteract the effects of insulin, causing elevated blood glucose levels.

Human growth hormone increases vertical growth in children. However, once your growth plates have fused, hGH cannot make you taller. Instead, after youve reached your final height, hGH helps maintain your bodys structure and has other important effects on your metabolism.

Your pituitary gland releases hGH in pulses. The size and duration of the pulses vary with time of day and your age and sex. Because of this, random hGH measurements are rarely useful to healthcare providers in confirming or ruling out a diagnosis. Instead, hGH measurement tests are most useful when measured as part of a stimulation or suppression test.

In general, the normal range for hGh levels include:

Normal value ranges may vary from lab to lab. Be sure to reference your labs normal range on your lab report when analyzing your results. If you have any questions about your results, talk to your healthcare provider.

Having lower-than-normal levels of hGH is called growth hormone deficiency. Its usually due to an issue with or damage to your pituitary gland that results in hypopituitarism when one, several or all of the hormones your pituitary gland makes are deficient. Human growth hormone could be one of the affected hormones.

Growth hormone deficiency affects adults and children differently.

When adults have a lack of hGH, it causes the following issues:

In adults, hypopituitarism that results in hGH deficiency may develop due to a benign pituitary adenoma (a noncancerous tumor) or damage to your pituitary gland or hypothalamus.

A lack of hGH in children results in poor growth. The main sign of hGH deficiency in children is slow height growth each year after a child's third birthday. This means they grow less than about 1.4 inches in height a year. A child with hGH deficiency may also have:

In children, hypopituitarism that results in hGH deficiency may be present from birth where the cause can be unknown (idiopathic), genetic or due to injury to their pituitary gland (during fetal development or at birth).

Children can also develop hypopituitarism due to damage to their pituitary gland or hypothalamus later in life.

The main condition associated with higher-than-normal hGH levels is a condition called acromegaly, though it affects adults and children differently. Its a rare condition.

Adults with acromegaly usually have enlarged or swollen hands and feet and altered facial features.

Adults with acromegaly can also have thickened bones and enlarged organs and are more likely to have conditions such as high blood pressure (hypertension), Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Over 99% of acromegaly cases are due to pituitary adenomas, noncancerous (benign) tumors on your pituitary gland. These tumors can produce excess amounts of hGH. Acromegaly is more common after middle-age when growth is complete. Because of this, adults with acromegaly dont get any taller. Instead, their bones can become thicker.

Very rarely, children can experience elevated growth hormone levels before they reach their final height, which can lead to excessive growth of long bones and very tall height. This condition is called pediatric acromegaly, but its sometimes called gigantism. If left untreated, children with acromegaly usually grow to be seven feet tall or taller. Children with acromegaly may also have general weakness, delayed puberty and headaches.

Pituitary adenomas are usually the cause of pediatric acromegaly.

Your healthcare provider can order a series of blood tests to check your hGH levels if youre experiencing symptoms related to hGH issues.

Your pituitary gland normally releases hGH into your bloodstream in pulses throughout the day and night, with peaks that occur mostly during the night. Because of this, a single blood test to measure hGH measurement is difficult to interpret and is not usually medically useful.

Providers most often use procedures called growth hormone stimulation and suppression tests to diagnose conditions caused by hGH deficiency or excess.

They may also order a blood test that measures the amount of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) in your blood.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the synthetic form of hGH for treatment for certain conditions. The synthetic form of hGH is available only by prescription and is injected.

In children, healthcare providers prescribe hGH to treat:

In adults, providers prescribe hGH to treat:

Its important to only take synthetic hGH if your provider has prescribed it for you.

The use of synthetic hGH for medical treatment can cause certain side effects including:

Researchers dont have enough information about the long-term effects of hGH treatment.

If you or your child are experiencing symptoms related to hGH deficiency or excess, contact your healthcare provider.

If youre receiving treatment for abnormal hGH levels, its important to see your provider regularly to make sure your treatment is working.

A note from Cleveland Clinic

Human growth hormone (hGH) is a powerful hormone thats necessary for several important bodily processes. Sometimes, your pituitary gland can make too much or too little of it. If you or your child are experiencing symptoms related to hGH deficiency or excess, its important to talk to your healthcare provider. Theyre there to help.

SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Easy Come Easy Golf’, Plus ‘Jack Move’ and Today’s Other Releases and Sales TouchArcade – Touch Arcade

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for September 20th, 2022. In todays article, weve got a review of Clap Hanz Easy Come Easy Golf. There are a few new releases to check out, including a pair of visual novels from Idea Factory and a JRPG-style game with style to burn. Beyond that, weve got the usual lists of new and outgoing sales. Lets get to it!

Just to make it clear from the get-go, this is the Apple Arcade game Clap Hanz Golf adapted for Switch and given a new name. Your twenty bucks frees you from the subscription model that meant you were basically renting the game at best, and ensures that whenever the day comes for Clap Hanz to leave the service, the game is still around in some form. Those who are further in the know probably are aware that Clap Hanz is a spiritual successor to Sonys Hot Shots Golf, which developer Clap Hanz worked on from Hot Shots Golf 3 onward. A series which was conceived by Camelot, who also went on to work on the Mario Golf series from the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color onward.

I didnt hate Mario Golf: Super Rush, but I can understand people who werent happy with it. I appreciate that Camelot might be tired of making the same old game every time and wants to try to mix things up. But I dont think people are wrong to wish the Mario Golf games would just stick to what works. Well, if you want a golf game that more or less does stick to what works, your day has arrived. Easy Come Easy Golf isnt precisely the same thing as Hot Shots Golf. It has some grindy cruft as a result of its origins as a mobile subscription-based game. It has a couple of minor gimmicks to differentiate itself. But the general structure and core mechanics are going to be very, very familiar to fans of Hot Shots Golf, and thats a good thing.

The main gimmick in Easy Come Easy Golf is that you bring a team of golfers with you to each nine-hole course, each one tackling a single hole. Each named golfer has their own stats and specialties, so theres an element of strategy in choosing which one to deploy where. Said named golfers will also level up as you use them, increasing their stats. You start off with just four named golfers, filling out the rest of your team with no-names who wont level up at all.

As you play, youll unlock additional characters to fill out your roster. Characters arent the only things to unlock, either. Because this version of the game includes all of the updates that have been delivered to the Apple Arcade game, there is a ton of content in here. But you are going to have to grind it out, so be prepared for that. That said, grinding in this context just means playing more rounds of golf, and I have to believe thats what you got this game for anyway. Perhaps importantly, none of the grinding is necessary. The game is happy enough to largely leave the matter of challenge in single-player to the player versus the course rather than versus the CPU opponents. You can also enjoy multiplayer via local or online, allowing up to four players to head off to the links together and see who is the best, or luckiest.

If youre satisfied with Clap Hanz as a subscription game on Apple Arcade, you dont need to worry too much about Easy Come Easy Golf. Its basically the same game. But if you want the game in a more permanent form, or youre a Switch-only golfing fan who wants something a little light without the goofy chaos of modern Mario Golf, youll want to pick this game up. Its well-made, content-rich, and enjoyable in a comfort food kind of way.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

You might remember this visual novel from when it popped up on iOS several years ago, or perhaps from its PlayStation Vita or Steam incarnations. You play as a woman with an unusual case of amnesia who ends up getting tied up with some very unique men. There are multiple paths to play, each with multiple endings, and one additional path leading to the true ending once youve finished them all. Its a very substantial story, so you get a lot for your money. There arent any major additions to this Nintendo Switch version, so if youve played it before elsewhere you wont find anything new here.

Later x Crowd, on the other hand, may well be new to most of you. This is a fandisk companion to the main game, offering up two games we havent seen outside of Japan before. Amnesia: Later is, as you might guess, set after the events of the main story. You can see some of the potential future outcomes, which is always fun. Amnesia: Crowd has a what-if story called Suspense, plus a bunch of minigames and card games to play. I think Mikhail is going to have reviews of both of these for us sometime in the next week or so.

This is a fast-paced sci-fi JRPG-style game, and its a rather good one. You play as a vigilante hacker named Noa who is caught up in all kinds of trouble after her estranged father is kidnapped by members of a mega-corporation. Battles are turn-based, and although Noa is your only party member, you can swap out your hardware mid-battle to change her abilities as needed. Its relatively brief as games in this genre go, wrapping up its story in about a dozen hours, but Im totally okay with a game that opts to trim all of its fat and get to the point, which Jack Move very much does.

A few things to note in todays list of new sales. Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is having a little sale. Not the greatest of games, but not bad. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has been discounted, along with its Ultimate version and DLC. Both Story of Seasons games are on sale, in case you need more farming games. Not much in the outbox, but you should check it anyway. One never knows what they will find.

Most HMC facilities report zero incidents of healthcare associated infections – The Peninsula

A robust infection control programme by the Hamad Medical Corporation has seen healthcare associated infections (HAIs) in patients significantly reduced.

At present, a majority of HMC facilities report zero incidents of targeted healthcare associated infections (HAIs) and it aims to achieve zero tolerance in all ICU units across HMC facilities, said Dr. Jameela Al Ajmi, Executive Director of Corporate Infection Prevention and Control at HMC. Healthcare associated infections can cause a significant source of complications across the continuum of care such as pneumonia and infections of the urinary tract, bloodstream and other parts of the body, commonly to patients admitted to the ICUs.

Infection control has many challenges especially with the increasing number of hospitalised patients, a greater prevalence of invasive technologies, and a higher prevalence of immunocompromised patients, said Dr. Al Ajmi.

A newly-established global estimate on hygiene by WHO and Unicef reveals the risk of disease spread and infections to patients and health care providers. But proactive measures taken by HMCs Corporate Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) division are keeping infections away across all hospitals, she added.

The surgical, trauma and paediatric ICUs of Hamad General Hospital (HGH) and the medical, paediatric, and neonatal ICUs of Al Wakra Hospital have achieved zero incidents of central line associated bloodstream infections. The ICU in Heart Hospital has achieved zero catheter associated urinary tract infections, she added.

Majority patients admitted to neonatal intensive care unit are high risk category with medically fragile patients with a lower gestational age and lower birth weight. Many neonates should also be considered immunocompromised because of incompletely developed immune systems or congenital defects.

Because of their immature immune systems, babies in NICUs may develop health care associated infections. Therefore, it is very important to embed innovative IPC strategies to deliver safe care to vulnerable neonates. As a result, the neonatal intensive care unit in Womens Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) has achieved zero incidents of ventilator associated pneumonia, said Dr. Al Ajmi.

The aim of HMCs Corporate Infection Prevention and Control division is to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors without getting any harm by acquiring infection from healthcare facilities as they can cause complications and even death. It also raises awareness of the importance of preventing and controlling the transmission of infection among staff, patient and family members.

Hand hygiene compliance among healthcare workers in all HMC facilities has consistently increased as a result of the implementation of hand hygiene policies and protocols that aid in the development of a good hand hygiene culture throughout HMC. It is a significant accomplishment in HMCs Road to Successful Infection Prevention and Control programme, said Dr. Al Ajmi.
