156 HCG Diet Recipes for Maximum Weight Loss

A CRUCIAL DISCOVERY

Dr. Simeons findings made him passionate about the growing obesity problem. More and more, he saw the need for a weight loss solution that actually worked. Yearning to treat the increasing problem of obesity, Dr. Simeons remembered something he had observed during his time in India. It was there Dr. Simeons discovered how the HCG hormone helped disperse bad fat from around the hip and stomach region in several young male subjects.

Knowing he was onto something big, Dr. Simeons accelerated his research. His findings indicated the HCG hormone stimulated bad stored fat. This caused the body to move the stored fat. Once stored fat was being moved by the body from its location, Dr. Simeons realized a restricted calorie diet would then force the fatalready in motionfor fuel, leading to rapid weight loss. As he experimented with the hormone, he saw weight immediately dropping from his patients! Additionally, the hormone decreased his patients appetites. This caused their stored fat to vanish.

Eventually, though more research and testing, Dr. Simeons developed a diet protocol to maximize the weight-loss potential of the HCG hormone. He created a list of approved foods, and the HCG Diet was born.

The HCG Diet has come a long way since Dr. Simeons discovery in the 1950s. After spending decades being tested and refined, the HCG Diet is ready for the public. The result is nothing less than miraculous. People who have struggled with obesity for an entire lifetime are now losing weight they never thought theyd be able to shed.

The HCG diet is real. It comes from a lifetime of extensive research. Follow the protocol and discover how your body can return to its proper weight within a mere few weeks.

On a recent episode of Celebrity physician Dr. Mehmet Oz's talk show, Dr. Oz said that he believes the HCG diet merits further investigation. While he admits that theres no official proof this diet works, his guests success stories make him think theres definitely something worth checking out about the HCG diet.

HCG is an acronym for the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, which is found in both men and women, though pregnant women have the highest levels of HCG in their bodies. The HCG hormone can be made synthetically or extracted from a pregnant woman's urine and then processed for use by other humans. Advocates of the HCG diet believe that, by adhering to the HCG diet plan and taking daily injections of HCG, participants can successfully reach their targeted weight. They say that dieters following the HCG diet should expect to lose somewhere between a half pound and 3 pounds of fat each day on the low-calorie, high-fiber plan.

The use of HCG in the treatment of obesity was first discovered by the late British Physician, Dr. A. T. W. Simeons in 1954, while practicing in Rome, Italy. Simeons noticed several important factors including the lack of symptoms one would expect from a patient on a very low calorie diet, expressly, his patients had no headaches, hunger pains, weakness, or irritability as long as the low calorie diet was combined with HCG.

FREE CONSULTATION (201) 262-6700

Most HCG Weight-loss participants see a loss in girth (inches) before they see any substantive drop in the scales. When properly supervised, the result is rapid weight loss and improved body shape during and after treatment. Reshaping of body contour is quickly noticeable in those patients who struggle with fat located in buttocks and hips area. As the HCG metabolizes stored body fat, about 2000 calories are released into the bloodstream, thus allowing for a low calorie per day diet without experiencing fatigue, weakness or hunger.

Day One & Two:

Day three: Start 500 calorie diet. Stick to specific times and foods listed in the 500 CALORIE DIET section. Generally patients lose 3-4 lbs. Some people experience headache, slight nausea or dizziness. If you do, you NEED to drink more fluids!! Patients are generally NOT hungry.

In the rare event you experience tremendous hunger try having 2 oz. of extra protein.

Day four: 2-3 lbs of weight loss can be expected but is not always the case. Most people experience some degree of detox from carbohydrates & sugar. This is usually indicated by slight headache or drowsiness.

Detoxification from chemicals. FAT stores are high in pollutants and may abruptly release chemicals into your system during the first week of the diet. Drink LOTS OF FLUIDS to avoid feeling nauseous if you work with or have been exposed to an abundance of chemicals in past 5 years. SEE DETOXIFICATION SECTION

Day 5: Minor complaints diminish while the weight continues to drop at an average rate of 1-2 lbs per day.

It is important to remember to call us, no matter what, if you are not losing one pound per day.

HUNGERThe only time you should be excessively hungry where you find that you cannot stick to diet is:

CALL THE OFFICE FOR GUIDANCE IF EXPERIENCING SEVERE HUNGER

A PLATEAUA plateau lasts 4-6 days and frequently occurs during the second half of a full (40 day) course, particularly in patients that have been doing well and whose overall average of nearly a pound per effective injection (injection 3 and on) has been maintained. Those who are losing more than the average, all have a plateau sooner or later. A plateau always corrects itself, but many patients who have become accustomed to a regular daily loss get unnecessarily worried. A plateau does not mean that you are no longer responding normally to treatment.

For such cases we consider it permissible to break up the plateau. This can be done with an apple day. An apple day begins at 11am and continues until just before 9pm. The patients are instructed to eat six large apples whenever they feel the desire, generally one every three to four hours. During an apple-day no other food or liquids except plain water are allowed and of water they may only drink just enough to quench an uncomfortable thirst if eating an apple still leaves them thirsty. The apple-day produces a gratifying loss of weight on the following day, chiefly due to the elimination of water and loosening of impacted stool. This water is not regained when the patients resume their normal 500-calorie diet at lunch, and on the following days they continue to lose weight satisfactorily.

If you stop losing weight dont assume you are having a plateau call office to discuss with staff.

CONSTIPATIONIf you are not losing a pound a day, the most common cause is constipation. Keep hydrated to avoid constipation. An excess of water keeps the feces soft, and that is very important in the obese, who commonly suffer from constipation and spastic colon.

While under treatment we rarely permit the use of any kind of laxative except bulk forming fiber which is not a typical laxative as it is not chemically altering your retention of water. It is normal to have a reduction in the amount of bowel movements as compared to before, but you SHOULD be having at least one bowel movement daily. If not, this could account for a lack of weight loss. Sugar free Metamucil 20 minutes before lunch and dinner or two back-to-back colonics can be helpful.

If you have a long history of constipation (not having at least one bowel movement per day) we suggest that you eliminate ALL MILK products (yogurt, ice cream, and especially cheese). To rebuild an atrophied colon it may take a year of a dairy free diet and a great increase in fiber. To hasten results try doing a course of colonics (ten sessions $600).

COSMETICSWhen no dietary error is found, we look at cosmetics. Most find it hard to believe that fats, oils, creams and ointments applied to the skin are absorbed and can interfere with the weight reduction by HCG, just as if it had been eaten. This incredible sensitivity to even such very minor increases in nutritional intake is a peculiar feature of the HCG method. For instance, its been found that persons who habitually handle organic fats, such as workers in beauty parlors, masseurs, butchers, etc. never show what is considered a satisfactory loss of weight unless they can avoid fat coming into contact with their skin. We encourage patients to continue using cosmetics as they normally would but to consider elimination if they stop losing a pound a day.

SUPPLEMENTS (add complete vitamin, mineral & amino acid supplement package see staff for details). In order for the thousands of process and systems to work optimally in your body you need to provide the fuel necessary to keep things going. The essentials of maintaining optimum nutrition:

We urge our patients to always take supplements, on the diet or off the diet. If your fat stores lack the appropriate nutrients you may not lose weight as quickly as you would like. When you are doing everything appropriately and are losing weight too slowly, please consider taking supplements. Consult our staff for recommendations.

DETOXIFICATION Additionally, in rare instances, some people are severely polluted with chemicals from cosmetics and the environment; pesticides from fruit and vegetables; as well as hormones and antibiotics from poultry, pork and beef.

Wash ALL fruit & vegetables thoroughly before consuming it & Buy FREE RANGE & ORGANICALLY FED poultry, pork & beef. Avoid fish known to be high in mercury or farm raised fish. Farm-raised salmon live in tight, densely populated quarters and eat fish pellets. Farmers add a chemical dye to artificially color the fish and make it more marketable. Farm-raised fish also may contain polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, which are highly toxic industrial compounds. These toxins are "probable human carcinogens," according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Pollutants for the most part reside in fat stores, hence a primary reasons overweight people are more prone to disease. It is important to wash these toxins from your body. If you feel nauseous and experience any vomiting you might be releasing toxins from your fat stores. If this is the case, you must drink an excessive amount of fluid. Dont stop the diet. These toxins need to be removed from your body.

Many people with HIGH LEAD levels have SLOW metabolisms. If you have a history of hypothyroid; irregular menstrual cycles; unexplained: high triglycerides, cholesterol or blood pressure; cancer; or cardiac arrhythmias, you may have high levels of toxic heavy metals. Once metals are removed from your system many patients no longer need the medications they have grown dependent on and many find that future attempts to lose weight are easier.

Few physicians (1 in 1000) understand how to accurately test for heavy metals. A blood test from QUEST will not give you accurate results. Please consult staff for some literature on Chelation and an explanation of how to be tested if you believe that you have toxic heavy metals in your system.

END OF DIETAfter your last shotStay on 500 CALORIE DIET for 3 days (as best as you can). As HCG weans from your system.

After 3 days switch to a typical ATKINS type diet. NO SUGAR & NO CARBS. It is identical to HCG 500 CALORIE DIET food selections except you can have FAT and OILS. And you can increase quantities. Typical protein quantities are 150-175 grams.

Stay on this diet for 21 days to lock in weight loss and gradually add carbs & sugars. If you discover you are gaining weight, immediately eliminate carbs & sugars until your weight returns to where it was the day of your last shot.

It is important to start exercise program of your choice on day 1 of the ATKINS type diet. You will notice it is much easier to exercise and in doing so will help you lose even more weight. If additional weight loss is desired, you may restart the HCG DIET 4 weeks after your last shot. Future attempts at the HCG DIET sometimes are more effective and sometimes less effective.

REMEMBER ONCE YOU START HCG DIET THE CLOCK BEGINS TICKING. YOU HAVE EITHER 25 DAYS or 40 DAYS FROM FIRST INJECTION TO COMPLETE DIET. IF YOU STOP FOR ANY REASON MORE THAN 5 DAYS THE DIET IS OVER. NO REFUNDS NO CREDITS. IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO START THE DIET DONT START IT! WE DO NOT MODIFY DIET FOR SHORTER PERIODS OF TIME. Why Is EveryoneCRAZYAbout TheHCG MIRACLE DIET

With the HCG diet plan, weight loss is practically instantaneous.

The dieter noteshalf to a Kilogram of weight loss every day,and this amount of weight loss is definitely safe for the dieter thanks to the daily intake of HCG. Weight loss continues at a steady pace and dieters are pleased to see the unwanted weight finally being shed on a daily basis. Dieters drop kilograms and those Kilograms do not return even long after the HCG dieting is over. The maintenance stage of the diet ensures that the dieter can keep full control over their weight for long af.

With the use of HCG and following the specific diet protocol, you can start burning abnormal fat immediately while leaving the structural fat and fat reserves in place to keep the body healthy. Reports show an average loss of 0.5 to 1 KG's per day. Along with the decrease in kilos, you will see inches melt away and those abnormal fat deposits will begin to disappear. Clients have had an improvement in complexion, a drop in high blood pressure, and a reduction in wrinkles.

The HCG Diet works on this basic principle

When HCG is absorbed into your body, it causes your body to attack your

stored fat. HCG triggers the body to break down fat cells, and put in into the blood stream to be burned off as energy. This process puts anywhere from 1800 to 4000 calories in your system per day. This allows the dieter to utilize a low calorie diet while still maintaining your strength and energy levels.

HCG does this by stimulating the hypothalamus to produce chemicals that release stores of fat into the bloodstream to be burned as energy. During this process, nutrients that are normally stored in fat are also released into the bloodstream, helping to provide sustenance to the dieter. HCG causes the release of fat stores into the bloodstream, and this is where the kilos are burned and the results are seen on a daily basis.

HCG Diet Food List | Official Approved HCG Eating Guide …

The Hcg Diet Plan includes a specific food list and strict eating guidelines outlined by award-winning endocrinologist, Dr. A.T.W. Simeons. Be sure to read through this entire page for instructions and tips on how and what to eat during phase 2 of the protocol, correctly, for best results.

What foods can you eat on the Hcg Diet Plan? A typical days menu-Lunch: 100 grams of protein, 1 vegetable serving, 1 fruit serving and 1 starch. Dinner includes the same options as lunch. Beverages include water, coffee or tea.

Dr. Simeons allowed a very specific list of lean proteins, vegetables, fruit and carefully selected grain options. Below is theofficial list of allowed foods EXACTLY as published in Pounds and Inches. We also recommend reading our Guide to Eating on the Hcg 500 Calorie Diet Menu, including full background, in-depth eating guidelines and tips.

1. Beverages/Drinks Allowed:

Guidelines:These beverages are permitted in any amount. Diet Sodas are not recommended, particularly those with aspartame. The allotted milk may be cow, almond, or coconut. Soy is not recommended since many people have a food sensitivity to soy.

2. Sweeteners Allowed:

Guidelines: No other sweeteners are permitted on the original protocol.

3. Proteins Allowed:

Guidelines:100 grams of the above listed proteins only, at both lunch and dinner. The 100 gram portions should be carefully weighed prior to cooking, and with all visible fat must be trimmed. Dr. Simeons also states the proteins should be boiled or grilled, however modern diet experts agree all forms of preparation are acceptable (saut, stewed, etc.) as long as additional fats are not used.

4. Vegetables Allowed:

Vegetable guidelines: The original protocol does not permit mixing vegetables, and only 1 serving is allowed at a time. Some people choose to mix vegetables, while remaining within the daily calorie allowance. Complete guide to eating vegetables on the Hcg Diet.

5. Fruits Allowed:

Guidelines: No additional fruits are allowed. 1 Medium apple is the appropriate size. Read more here: Complete guide to eating fruit on the Hcg Diet.

6. Breads/Grains Allowed:

Guidelines: 1 of each are allowed at lunch and dinner. Be sure to read labels when purchasing, since some brands now add excessive ingredients with high calorie results.

(Weights, portions and calories included)

This is the expanded list of foods you can eat on the original protocol. Learn more here:Complete Guide to the Expanded Hcg Approved Foods List here.

Very Lean Beef: (avg 152 calories) Permitted on Phase 2 and 3

Chicken Approved Protein for Phase 2 and 3

Fish Foods Approved Protein (avg 98 calories) Approved for Phase 2 and 3

White Fish List Allowed Protein Phase 2 and 3

Veal: Allowed Protein (avg 114 calories)

This is the original HCG Diet 500 Calorie Menu, as published in Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches.

The 500 calorie menu includes a list of foods that are known as whole foods. These are unprocessed, in their natural state and largely focus on healthy proteins from lean meats, balanced with carbohydrates from vegetables and carefully selected fruit.

Only 2 options are available for grains, however this is not to be confused with a low carbohydrate, ketosis diet. The Hcg Diet is not a low carb diet since a significant amount of carbs are eaten through vegetables and fruit. It is not necessary to have your body in a state of ketosis, although some choose to combine an Hcg-Keto approach during Phase 2.

Organic foods are highly recommended, and no processed or prepared foods are allowed. There are additional eating tips and guidelines at the bottom of this page.

The following list are the foods that are allowed Per meal, as described by Dr. Simeons: The actual food consumption consists of lunch and dinner (no breakfast) and the following items per meal.

Breakfast:

Lunch:

Dinner

Full Hcg Diet meal planning at its best! 20 Hcg Diet meals with approved foods, prepared in 45 minutes. Make these and keep them in your fridge!

Beverages:Unlimited amounts of water, coffee and tea are permitted on the Hcg Diet. Only 1 tablespoon of milk is permitted each day: Organic skim milks are recommended, while almond milk (unsweetened) is also an option. Coconut milk is not recommended since it contains a good amount of sugar, although some dieters use this and still experience healthy loss rates.

Sweeteners should be limited on the Hcg Diet. Particularly sweeteners such as aspartame are not permitted, while limited amounts of the following are allowed in moderation.

Proteinsallowed on the Hcg Diet:100 grams of one of the above Hcg Diet foods are allowed at lunch and again at dinner. Fish is highly recommended as a staple on the diet, considering the lower calorie count and health benefits. All meats are to be weighed on a kitchen scale (these are available on Amazon for under $15) for accuracy, with all visible fat trimmed completely. Imitation crab is NOT an allowed Hcg diet food, since they are high in sugar and carbohydrates.

Vegetables allowed on phase 2 of the HCG Diet:One type of each vegetable at lunch and one at dinner. Originalprotocol does not allow combining vegetables (read next tip.) Calories can vary depending on the type of vegetable (for example, cherry tomatoes are 9 calories per cup, while a regular tomato is 18 calories per 100g.) Most serving sizes for vegetables are approximately 1 cup, although Dr. Simeons does not specify an allowed portion size. Read the Hcg Diet Vegetable Guide to learn more.

Mixing vegetables: Many dieters successfully combine vegetables during their Hcg Diet phase 2 and do fine. If you wish to try this, please do, but proceed with caution to avoid stalling and remember to stay within the allotted calories.

Breads/Grains allowed: Please read grissini and breadstick labels carefully. Calories can vary by brand. Restaurant breadsticks should be avoided, since some can be as high as 400 calories.1 bread stick or Melba Toast = 1 Serving regardless of what the brands label says. You areallowed 1pieceper meal. In other words, even if the box says 1 serving is 2 pieces, the protocol still allows only 1 piece per meal.

Fruitallowed on the HCG Diet: Fruit can vary greatly in calories depending on the type. 2 small apples is NOT an acceptable substitute for the daily allowed 1 apple. Please read the Hcg Diet Fruit Guide to learn more.

Additional Reading about foods and the Hcg Diet Plan:

Hcg Diet protocol in a nutshellHcg Diet High Fiber Foods

The following food lists are based on alternative Hcg diet protocols. These include the 800 calorie diet, and the New Hcg Diet, as seen on Dr. Oz and Dr. Emma. Details and guidelines are included for each, so please read carefully to make an informed decision on which approach is right for you.

(Slightly more calories, slower loss rates.)

The 800 Calorie food list simply expands the portions of the original protocols allowed foods. Note:In addition to slower losses, this approach may also result in less weight loss overall.

This option is typically prescribed by doctors, for patients who require slightly more calories than the original protocol dictates. Dieters that fall into this category are generally men, active individuals, or those who are close to goal and dont have much more to lose.

Do note that this is merely an example and your prescribingDoctor or Hcg weight loss provider may have a variation of this list for his/her own version of the protocol. Again, portion sizes are still measured, but are larger than the portions from the original protocol. Calorie allowances can also range: 800 calories 1600 for very active individuals such as male athletes.

List of Vegetables Allowed: Vegetables on this list may be combined.Organic vegetables are recommended. No processed vegetables. Fresh (not frozen) whenever possible.

Proteins Allowed

Lean turkey (no dark meat.)*

Fruits Allowed

Breads Allowed

Drinks & Other

Sweeteners

Condiments Allowed

*The foods in bold are the ones that differ from the original protocols approved foods list.

A very modern take on the Hcg weight loss plan: Significantly higher calories (up to 1600 calories), processed foods and protein powders permitted. Much slower loss rates and increased risk of stalling and other challenges.

This is a very modern, medical weight loss approach, that incorporates the use ofprescription Hcg hormoneinjections only. This protocol has been featured on the Dr. Oz show, and includes an expanded list of modern foods and supplements, allowed in both Phase 2 and Phase 3.

This version of the protocol results in significantly slower loss rates, and reports increased stalling patterns. This approach is only recommended with asignificantamount of coaching and support.

Filler Foods

Beef/Meats

Fowl

Seafood

Vegetables

Fruits

Bread

How the list is expanded beyond the foods listed in the manuscript: Some foods are added because they are fiber foods and have near-0 calories or do not impact the HCG diet in a negative way.

Food sensitivities: If you ever find a food item causing you issues or not agreeing with you, then do not eat it. Food sensitivities are often trigger foods or culprits for weight gain amongst other issues.

There is also a suggested list and in depth articles about Phase 1 FoodsandPhase 3 Foodsto help you with food choices and to make the hCG diet easier for you to do.

A note about vegetable portions and calorie counts: Vegetables can vary depending on the type and brand (I know, its surprising!) I have done my best to include the most accurate calorie and nutrition counts in this foods list, but please do you research and check the specific vegetable and brand that you are using. Read the complete Hcg Diet Vegetable Guide.

Healthiest protein options: Fish is the healthiest and most recommended protein of the Hcg foods list. Chicken is second, and beef is last. Seafood can vary in this hierarchy, depending on the specific food in question. Different types of fish offer different health and nutrition benefits. They are also often, half the calories compared to beef options.

Grissini and bread sticks: Remember that not all grissini and breadsticks are created alike. Check your labels carefully and avoid these when eating out since they can be as high as 400+ calories.

Why do we not include carbohydrates on this list? The Hcg Diet is not a low carbohydrate weight loss plan. In fact, whole carbohydrates from vegetables are encouraged, which is why there is such a long vegetable food list.

*Coffee statistics for soluble fiber: Scientific America on Coffee Research

Ask Hcg Diet coaches about eating and the approved foods list: and get answers fast. join the Hcg Diet Forums.

Are eggs allowed on the Hcg Diet food list?

Yes, eggs are permitted. Dr. Simeons specifies that 1 whole egg, or 3 egg whites may be substituted for 1 protein serving at a meal. A great egg recipe that is POP (perfectly on protocol) would be scrambled eggs with spinach, onion flakes and the allowed 1 tablespoon of milk (optional.) Be sure to include a number of spices and himalayan salt for flavor. Franks hot sauce and tobacco are also permitted.

Can you chew gum on the Hcg Diet?

While gum is permitted, it is not recommended since the ingredients in gum can trigger food sensitivities and unnecessary hunger. For those who choose to chew gum while on Phase 2 or Phase 3, it is important to select only sugar free gum, and those without the allowed sweeteners (avoid aspartame!.) See the above food list for sweetener options.

The Science Behind the HCG Diet – hCG Injections Shop

The Science behind the HCG Diet

HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone produced by both men and women. Women who are pregnant on the other hand, produce a higher quantity of HCG in their placenta. HCG is consists of 244 amino acids. It is a catalyst hormone that stimulates the production of other hormones in the body. HCG also plays a role in controlling womens metabolism.

HCG was first connected with weight loss by Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons back in the 60s and 70s. He gave HCG to boys with low testosterone levels. He found out that the boys starts to lose abnormal belly fat and had slimmed down. From this observation he conducted research. He experimented with various amounts of HCG and its relation to metabolism and weight loss.

Eventually, he discovered through his research that a large amount of belly fat can be lost through HCG hormone and strict diet. Soon, his breakthrough was discovered. Doctors from around the world were coming to Rome to learn more about his discovery.

In 1967, Dr. Simeons published Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity. The book summarizes and helps delivers Dr. Simeons weight loss findings to the world. In this protocol, the point of focus and the philosophy behind HCG diet is the abnormal fats. HCG hormone allows the body to burn up abnormal fats by working on the brains hypothalamus. Hypothalamus performs important functions such as controlling the appetite and mobilizing stubborn fats. Research shows that following the protocol, HCG hormone can help curb and eliminate cravings for sugar and starch.

In Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches Away, he said that obesity in all its many forms is due to an abnormal functioning of some part of the body. He believed that abnormal buildup of fats is caused by a disorder and not just by eating more than normal. In his opening pages, he discussed issues of obesity alongside his theory about the accumulating fat disorder. He also tackled ways on how correct it through the three phases of HCG diet.

In the early Neolithic times, a change took place which accounts for the development of todays obesity. The change was the institution of regular meals, the three-meal system. Through Dr. Simeons writing, he examines the concept of regular meals and its connection to stored fats. He discussed that in the Pre-Neolithic time man only ate when he was hungry. When man eats, he only eats as much as he requires stilling the pangs of hunger. Much of his food is unrefined and raw.

But with the advent of regular meals, the body had to take more food at a faster rate. This contributes to an extremely unhealthy trend. Each meal provides the body with nourishment that is not needed at the time. So this nourishment has to be stored somewhere thus leading to obesity we now see. He further emphasized that rather than the regular meals, the pre-Neolithic diet is what our body needs.

Dr. Simeons establishes that body fats are of three types.

It fills the gap between organs, a sort of packing material. It also performs an important function such as protecting the arteries, providing beddings for kidney and keeping the skin taut and smooth. Structural fats also provide the springy cushion under the bones of the feet.

It is the normal reserve of fuel that can be used by the body for energy. Normal fat contains a high amount of calories in a small amount of space. It is reserved for muscular activity and for the maintenance of body temperature. The normal and structural normal fats are both important. Even if the fats will accumulate in the body, it is completely normal and can never be considered obese.

These fats are created by the high intake of sugar and starch in the modern diet. Abnormal fats cause obesity. It is found around the hips, buttocks, stomach and thigh. Abnormal fat is a potential reserve of fuel however it is not readily available to the body. Without proper weight loss methods, it will remain in the body.

When obese dieters try to reduce by eating less, they first lose their normal fat reserves. When these are used up the body switches to structural fats and only as a last resort will the body uses the abnormal fats. However, by that time the body is too hungry and too weak to properly exercise. Yet the body has changed very little.

There are many glands in the body that regulates normal body activities. This gland includes the pituitary glands, thyroid glands and adrenal glands. Dr. Simeons debunks various obesity myths around these glands and connects it to weight loss. However, after a series of test, he found out that there is no correlation among the glands with weight loss.

Dr. Simeons made an interesting connection between the concept of a bank and how fat works in our body. Our fat storage works like bank accounts. When the body absorbs more fuel than what is needed, the rest is locked away for large amounts of time.

In order to lose weight, he emphasizes that we must understand how our body deposits and withdraws fat. When we eat large amounts of food all at once the fat deposit grows rapidly. This system of eating causes an exhaustion of the fat-bank. The fat center will take a large amount of food than the usual. This overpowers the Diencephalon or Hypothalamus, the part of the brain that manages the withdrawal and deposit of fats which leads to obesity.

Dr. Simeons narrowed the main causes of obesity into three.

1. Psychological aspect - Dr. Simeons believed that emotional eating is an instinct gratification by a part of the brain. When a person is unhappy and lonely he can use this outlet to pent-up instinct pressure. When this happens, no amount of happiness and gratification of other instinct can correct the condition.

2. Compulsive eating - Dr. Simeons believed that most people who are obese do not suffer from compulsive eating. They are truly hungry. Their sudden desire for sweets and other foods can allay their pangs of hunger. However, some obese does experience compulsive eating. It comes on with an attack and not because of real hunger.

3. Reluctance in losing weight - Dr. Simeons points out that some patients do not like the idea of losing weight. They are deeply attached to their fats. Some are afraid to lose weight fearing that people will like or be jealous of their figure. Others are deeply attached to their obese childhood. To some, being obese is their source of pride.

Dr. Simeons also studied the diencephalon or hypothalamus. He connects it with how the body stores and burn fuel. He believed that hypothalamus has something to do with how the body stores fat. He thought that if he can tap into the diencephalon center, he could discover ways on how obese can lose weight that has not yet examined.

There are early signs and symptoms of obesity as concluded by Dr. Simeon.

Common signs include:

1. A buildup of excessive fats around the hips, thighs, abdomen, upper arms and chin.

Less obvious signs which were examined by Simeon to be true with obese:

1. Two upper front teeth that are disproportionately large.

2. Dimple on both sides of the sacral bone just above the buttocks.

3. A pad of fat on the inside of the knees.

Clinical symptoms of obesity include:

1. Rheumatic pains

2. Frequent headaches

3. Frequent headaches

4. Lethargy

Dr. Simeons first used HCG to help speed up puberty with underdeveloped children in India. He gave them several hundred international units twice a week. As a result of these injections, Dr. Simeon made a few discoveries.

1.First, the small daily dose was just as effective as the larger dose given twice a week.

2.Second and one of the most important discoveries was that the patients began to lose large appetite even without being on a restrictive diet.

3.Third, he noticed that the body shapes began to change. He believed that this was because of the abnormal fats moving away from the hips. The fats become available as fuel for the body to burn. The abnormal fats are a new source of fuel which can be used as a replacement for foods. This answers his questions as to why the boys were not hungry even on a restricted diet.

4.A higher dose of HCG does not cause any harm to the body.

5.Patients on 500 calorie diet were able to go on their normal day.

His discoveries had made it clear that with HCG, the body can transition from using the normal fat reserves to the abnormal fats.

Dr. Simeon began to develop his theory of HCG injections and weight loss after a series of test. He discussed how pregnant woman can drastically lose weight without feeling hungry. He also believed that in pregnant woman abnormal deposit of fat is not created due to the presence of enormous quantities of HCG in the body.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin was created long before its effects on the body were truly understood. It has been used for over a century in the development of the first pregnancy test. Gonadotrophin means a sex-gland directed substance or hormone. However, Dr. Simeons points out that HCG has no effect on normal sex function.

Dr. Simeons found out only 125 units of HCG hormone each day is needed to lose weight. With 500 calorie diet, an obese patient can lose at least one pound each day. He believes that HCG can also cure complicating disorders that are often associated with obesity.

1.Diabetes - His research revealed that HCG diet has the ability to lower the blood sugar. The diabetic patients blood sugar often reaches the normal level in 2-3 weeks. It is often possible to stop all insulin treatments after the first few weeks with HCG.

2.Rheumatism - Rheumatic pains can also decrease after few days of HCG treatment. It allows obese patients to stop using cortisone medicine for a while without a recurrence of pain.

3.High Cholesterol - Obese patient with abnormally high cholesterol has been seen to decrease when treated with HCG.

4.Gout - HCG can help patients with gout pain even if the blood uric acid increases during treatment.

5.Blood Pressure - During HCG diet, the blood sugar of patients may drop. This is one of the significant discoveries with the use of HCG.

1. What are the side effects of HCG? - Similar to other diets, there are a few minor side effects that you should be aware of. Some of these side effects can include irritability, fatigue, headache and restlessness. However, these side effects tend to be from the protocol and not the HCG. In most cases, it can be corrected by menu adjustments.

2. How many calories should I eat a day? - The original protocol of Dr. Simeons recommends a maximum of 500 calories a day. However, this is a strict protocol. You cant just eat anything that equals to 500 calories.

3. Do I need a Prescription to do the HCG diet? - No. You dont need a prescription to order your HCG. In fact, you can order it here.

4. Will I feel hungry while on the HCG Diet? - You will likely feel hungry in the beginning but that usually goes away. Your body will soon adjust to the lower calorie intake.

5. Can men use the HCG diet? - Yes, both men and women can use HCG diet to lose weight.

6. How long does the diet last? - You can do a 23 day or a 40-day cycle round depending on how much weight you want to lose.

7. Does the diet really work? - HCG diet has proven to work. Majority of people who tried and adhere to every requirement of the protocol have achieved their goal.

8. How much weight will I lose? - Men typically lose 1 pound a day. Women, on the other hand, lose an average of pound a day.

9. Do you need to exercise on the HCG diet? - Since it is a very low-calorie diet of 500 calories a day, there is no exercise required. In the original protocol, exercise is actually prohibited outside of normal daily activity.

10. Is HCG Diet dangerous? - No. HCG Diet is completely safe.

HCG Diet Food List – HCG Diet

Basics of HCG Approved Food List

While on the HCG diet, Dr. Simeons explains in his protocol that a strict diet of 500 calories a day is necessary in order to see the full effects of the HCG hormone. Within his protocol Pounds and Inches Away published in 1967, Simeons explains that The diet used in conjunction with HCG must not exceed 500 calories per day, and the way these calories are made up is of utmost importance. Simeons knew that simply cutting calories, was not the proper method to weight loss due to the harmful effects certain foods could still have on the body. This methodology is emphasized as he states, if a patient drops the apple and eats an extra breadstick instead, he will not be consuming more calories, but he will not lose weight. This is due to the fact that certain foods, especially fruits and vegetables, could have low caloric value, but are absent from his list due to low nutritional value. These foods can interfere with regular weight loss while on the HCG diet, due to their composition. Simeons points out pimiento peppers, okra, artichokes and pears as examples of foods with few calories, but are still harmful to the body when trying to lose weight.

Something to keep in mind when on the HCG diet is your geographic location. Simeons, who wrote his protocol in Italy, based off of the caloric value of Italian foods, explains that certain modifications should be made if you are dieting in another country. For example, beef in the United States has almost double the calories of South Italian beef, which contains much less fat. Because of this, Simeons substitutes low-grade veal to be used while following the diet. Italian breadsticks, known as Grissini, are perfect for the HCG diet, but are mostly unavailable to people in the U.S. Melba toast can be used instead, even though, as Simeons puts it they are psychologically less satisfying. Even when changes are being made to the diet due to location-based feeding habits, Simeons continues to stress that the total daily intake should not exceed 500 calories. If dieters would like to see the best results, they should follow this protocol, sticking to approved foods. A daily ration should contain 200 grams of fat-free protein, a mix of fruits and vegetables, and a small amount of starch.

In his protocol, Simeons also makes it clear that because the daily dose of HCG drops is consistent for everyone, the same diet should be followed, regardless of who is doing it. The same diet should prove to be effective whether it is a small elderly lady of leisure or a hard working muscular giant. Simeons states that no matter the shape or size of the body, it is able to get all the calories it needs from abnormal fat deposits, regardless of whether you are burning 1,500 or 4,000 calories per day. Simeons emphasizes this point in his protocol, explaining that we use our fat for fuel far more often than we use what we eat to move us during the day. Before diving into the specific foods allowed on the HCG diet, Simeons breaks down a few unique scenarios that could apply to a variety of people trying to follow the HCG diet.

The first example he covers is vegetarians, who are unable to consume any sort of animal protein. In order to obtain the proper amount of protein per day, which is 200 grams, Simeons says they must drink 500 cc or just over 2 cups of skimmed milk per day. When it comes to fruit, vegetables and starch, the vegetarian diet is very similar to that of the HCG diet. However, they will not consume their usual intake of vegetable proteins from legumes such as beans or derived from wheat and nuts. Due to some of these restrictions, vegetarians see about half the average weight loss of non-vegetarians while following this plan. Simeons attributes this to the amount of sugar in the milk that vegetarians need to substitute for animal protein. More information about following the HCG Diet as a vegetarian can be found here.

Faulty dieting is another aspect of the HCG diet that Simeons stresses in his protocol. While on the HCG diet, it is crucial that the approved foods list is followed, as the slightest deviation from the diet has disastrous results as far as the weight is concerned. While taking the HCG hormone and following the strict diet, the body is extremely sensitive to anything that isnt approved by Dr. Simeons list. Small errors can stop the weight loss process, and ruin previous progress. Simeons mentions that people in high official positions are still able to follow the HCG diet with the proper preparations and discipline. If they are at official dinners, it is important to stick to the diet, and work around foods that dont follow the guidelines. This is extremely important due to the fact that a meal against protocol can cost them three days of treatment progress. Something that many patients have questioned about the HCG diet is the use of vitamins. There is a common fear that the restricted diet is limiting the amount of vitamins and minerals they are getting. However, physicians can assure their patients that when they are losing fatty tissue, only the actual fat is being burned, and the vitamins, proteins and minerals contained within the foods are still taken in by the body.

Before going over the list of approved foods, it is important to understand the specific way in which the diet should be followed. Every item on Dr. Simeons list is carefully researched and picked for specific reasons. No variations or substitutes can be used for the approved food list. All items that are not on the list are forbidden, due to the fact that nothing permissible has been left off. When it comes to the daily ration of meat, the 200 grams should be weighed raw, after any visible fat has been trimmed off. Another important aspect Simeons points out is the way in which meals are broken up. A breadstick and an apple can be eaten for breakfast or right before bed, as long as it is deducted from the regular meals. However, it is important to keep in mind that a daily ration of two breadsticks and two fruits should not be consumed at the same time. Furthermore, items saved or not eaten in previous days cannot be transferred and eaten on the next day. Since a new diet can often be difficult to track at first, Simeons highly recommends keeping a diet sheet to reference, with a list of everything consumed each day. If a cheat does occur, find out what you can do about it here. Some patients have asked before about following the diet protocol without taking the HCG hormone. Simeons is very much against doing this, and explains that it will lead to trouble in just a few days. Furthermore, it is important to note that showing off to friends about your dieting powers, without letting them know about taking HCG hormones is also dangerous. This can cause friends to try the same diet without the hormone, which proves to be a failure and can often be dangerous.

When it comes to finding loopholes in the diet and protocol, Simeons suggests finding another way to lose weight instead. His protocol and plan was researched for decades, and each food and procedure is chosen for a specific reason. Loopholes such as eating two small apples instead of the recommended one large apple, can change the caloric value delivered and alter dieting results. Similarly, chicken breast must be from a chicken and cannot be replaced by the breast of any other fowl. Simeons promises results if dieters follow the exact process and protocol, and any attempts at tricking the system or getting around certain foods can prove to be detrimental to results. It is best to follow the process that he lays out in his manual, and follow this list of approved foods, straight from his book Pounds and Inches Away. With each of Dr. Simeons approved foods, we will also dive into the benefits of consuming each when it comes to not only weight loss, but also overall vitamin, mineral and protein content.

Beginning with breakfast, tea or coffee in any quantity is allowed, but no sugar can be added. Instead, a sugar substitute should be used, such as Trulicious Natural Sweetener. A tablespoon of milk is allowed per 24 hours. As for lunch, there are a variety of meat options that are approved by Dr. Simeons. These include 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab or shrimp. Before cooking all meats, they should be trimmed of all fat and weighed raw. The meat should then be boiled or grilled, with no additional fats added. Any fish such as salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed on the HCG diet. White fish such as Tilapia, Cod and Halibut are permitted, as well as albacore tuna (packed in water only).

Along with your meat choice at lunch, one type of vegetable can be eaten. Most vegetables are approved for the HCG Diet, with the exception of high starch options such as corn and potatoes which are left off the list. All greens are approved on the diet and eating a variety of vegetables each day is highly recommended. The protocol states that 2 cups of vegetables per day should be eaten, and split between both meals. Dieters should choose from the following list: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus and cabbage. One breadstick (Grissini), or if not available, one Melba toast can be eaten as well. For fruits, one apple, a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit rounds out the meal. The fruit or breadstick can be eaten between meals, instead of during lunch or dinner, however, no more than four items on the list should be eaten at one meal. As for dinner, the same four choices should be used as lunch.

Simeons also outlines a variety of rules that go along with what can be eaten while on the diet. Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks that can be used, however, they can be consumed in any quantity, at any time. Check out these 6 beverages you should be drinking when on the HCG Diet. Simeons recommends that HCG dieters consume around 2 liters of fluids per day. Many dieters believe this will cause them to retain more water, however, this is not the case, and furthermore, the body is inclined to store more water when it is not being hydrated enough. The juice of one lemon per day is allowed for any purpose. As for seasoning, salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc. can all be used. However, no oil, butter or dressing should be consumed while on the diet.

With most diets, there are always variations to what the proper foods and processes are to lose weight. The HCG diet has had a resurgence, due to Dr. Oz bringing it to light in 2013. Dr. Ozs vegetable list contains: any kind of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, fennel, cucumber, radishes, celery and asparagus. For proteins he lists white fish, lobster, crab, shrimp and extra lean beef (96% lean ground beef including pot roast). For fruits his list contains apples, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and lemons. For condiments, Dr. Oz approves Braggs Liquid Amino (healthy soy sauce substitute), mustard, apple cider vinegar and any natural herbs or spices. While not drastically different than Simeons approved foods, it is important to note that there are a variety of methods and processes you can follow while on the HCG Diet. We suggest following the approved foods list that is explained in the previous paragraphs, which come straight from Dr. Simeons book, Pounds and Inches Away.

When it comes to salt, Simeons explains that there is no restriction on the use of salt. Instead, he focuses the attention on hydration and ensuring that dieters drink large quantities of water while taking the HCG hormone. The goal of reducing abnormal fat is a completely separate process than salt consumption, and does nothing to affect weight loss. However, although there is no limit, the daily salt intake should roughly stay consistent as not to suddenly alter the bodys balances, which can give faulty results day to day.

Another important aspect of the HCG diet, often overlooked, is the use of cosmetics, which can often be a hidden issue when it comes to weight loss results. Simeons explains that many of his patients were surprised to hear that the fats and oils contained in their creams and ointments could be absorbed after being applied to the skin. Once absorbed, they can interfere with weight loss, in the same way as if the fat and oil had been eaten. Simeons emphasizes the sensitivity of the body while doing the HCG diet and the importance of controlling as many variables as possible. This minor increase in fat and oil can have dramatic effects on the success of the diet. Simeons uses an example of a worker at a beauty parlor, who is constantly handling organic fats, and never had a satisfactory loss of weight until they eliminated contact with these fats and their skin. Simeons solution is to use plain mineral oil, which has no nutritional value. However, mineral oil should not be used in preparing food, since it has laxative qualities and can absorb fat-soluble vitamins which are later released from the body. The use of lipstick, powder and lotions that are free of fatty substances, are all approved on the HCG diet. Brilliantine can also be used on the hair, but not to be rubbed into the scalp. Sun-tan oil is strictly prohibited. Approved cosmetics include: Mineral based/oil free foundation/lotions, bare essentials/bare minerals, mineral stick deodorant (Crysalux Crystal), baking soda, face soap/make up removers, Arbonne, Neutrogena Oil Free Cream Cleanser, and Witch Hazel. For skin and lip moisturizers, there are a variety of approved products to choose from. However, various foods can also be eaten to promote healthy skin, check out the link for more info. For HCG approved products they include: Alba Oil Free Facial Moisturizer, Aloe Vera 100%, coconut oil (cold pressed), Fiji Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Kiss my Face Oil Free Moisturizer, St. Ives Vanilla Lotion. As for shampoos and conditioners, approved products include Aubrey Organics, Life Extension, Magik Botanicals Oil Free Shampoo and Conditioner, Mastey Products, and Natures Gate Alovera. Dial soap can be used as well as baking soda for everyday cleaning. Sunscreen should be used based off the following products: Aveeno Oil Free Sunscreen, Clarins Oil Free Sun Care Spray SPF 15, Coppertone Oil Free Sun Block for Faces SPF 30, Coppertone Oil Free Sun Block Lotion, Ocean Potion Sport Xtreme Sun Block Water and Sweat, Oil Free Sport Xtreme Sun Block, Peter Thomas Roth Ultra Lite Oil Free sun products, Zia Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 15. For toothpaste, Spry and Toms of Maine toothpaste are both acceptable. For an easily printable list, check out a List of Recommended Beauty Products Safe for HCG.

Starting your day with a cup of herbal tea such as black tea or green tea is a great choice when it comes to your overall health. Green tea specifically has been shown to increase fat burning and boost your metabolic rate. In a study done on 10 healthy men, it was found that green tea increased energy expenditure by 4%. More information about this study can be found here. Mix in a spoonful or two of substitute sugar, such as Trulicious Natural Sweetener, which is 3 times sweeter than sugar, but has very few calories and a low glycemic index. To go along with your tea, a slice of Melba Toast is an excellent way to incorporate a good source of fiber and complex carbohydrate into your diet.

Following breakfast, the caloric intake increases, with four items on the menu. At over 20g of protein and only 200 calories, grilled chicken breast is a great way to give your body the protein it needs to keep your muscles strong and well-fed while working out. Made up of important amino acids, the protein contained in chicken helps to form the building blocks of muscles in the body. Not only is chicken great for its protein content, but also the vitamins and minerals it contains. For example, the Vitamin B that chicken provides, can help boost immunity, regulate digestion and prevent problems such as migraines, high cholesterol and diabetes. Also contained within chicken is vitamin D which helps the body absorb calcium and strengthens bones. Vitamin A, also found in chicken, helps with overall eye health, while its traces of iron help with muscle activity. Overall, diets with high levels of protein are shown to help with weight loss, as it provides the necessary protein your muscles need to burn abnormal fat. Along with the chicken at lunch, choose a few ounces of asparagus. Its packed with fiber and antioxidants that keep your body running smoothly. Vitamins such as A, C, E, and B6 as well as high levels of iron, copper, and calcium, give your body the key nutrients it needs while on a restricted caloric intake. At only 32 calories per cup, asparagus contains a lot of soluble and insoluble fiber, which is great when youre trying to lose weight. The fiber, while helping with digestion, is consumed slowly by the body and keeps you full longer in between meals. Antioxidants found in asparagus, especially the purple kind, can help your body fight against cancer cells and strengthen your immune system. Adding a bit of sweetness to the end of your meal can be a great way to boost your energy, while also providing your body with excellent nutrients and vitamins. Apples, ranked first in Medical News Todays article on top 10 healthy foods, are high in Vitamin C, a powerful natural antioxidant that can fight against free radicals and infectious agents. Along with minerals such as calcium, potassium and phosphorus, the B-complex vitamins within apples are great for maintaining red blood cells and keeping the nervous system in great shape.

Dinner contains plenty of natural and nutritious items such as halibut, cauliflower and strawberries, all of which have immense health benefits to the body. Halibut is an excellent source of protein, potassium, selenium and vitamin B12. It is also rich in fiber, and contains more than oatmeal and a variety of vegetables. The Satiety Index of Common Foods also ranks white fish such as halibut, as number two for the most filling foods, only topped by potatoes. This is due to the high protein content and also the influence it has on serotonin, a key hormone responsible for controlling appetite signals. Omega 3 fatty acids, which can be found in various white fish, are essential for the body and cannot be synthetically created. Therefore, it needs to be supplied from an external source such as cod and halibut. Other nutrients such as magnesium, in which halibut contains 22mg, helps relax arteries and veins in the body, which in turn, increases blood flow. Cooking methods such as broiling, baking and grilling, instead of deep frying, can help keep all the nutrients in the foods.

Pair your halibut with some steamed or baked cauliflower which is rich in vitamins and minerals. Cauliflower contains high levels of sulforaphane, a sulfur compound that has been seen to kill cancer stem cells and limit tumor growth. Its anti-cancer effects can also help prevent prostate cancer, when combined with turmeric, which contains the active compound curcumin. Not only is it great for preventing cancer, but it also controls inflammation in the body due to its various compounds. Lastly, cauliflower contains 77% of the recommended daily value of vitamin C, which is key to body development and repairs of body tissue. Also a good source of vitamin k, thiamin, phosphorous and potassium, cauliflower is a one-stop shop for many vitamins and minerals your body needs to thrive. Finishing your meal off with a dozen strawberries is a great way to not only satisfy your sweet tooth, but also provide your body with vitamins, potassium and fiber. All of these can help with weight loss and strengthen your body overall. Strawberries help promote the creation of adiponectin and leptin hormones, which both help with fat burning and increasing your metabolism. They also have anti-inflammatory properties by limiting the impact of enzymes and genes that can promote inflammation in the body. This is due to the high antioxidant content contained within them. Eating water rich foods such as strawberries, cucumbers and tomatoes, which can contain up to 90% water, helps contribute to better overall hydration if eaten with a steady consumption of water as well. Containing more vitamin C than oranges by weight, one cup of strawberries fulfills 141% of your daily vitamin C needs. While not directly shown to cause weight loss, vitamin C deficiencies have been shown to hinder weight and body fat loss, so ensure that youre fulfilling your daily needs while dieting. Vitamin C has also been shown to help dieters with high blood pressure. Lastly, strawberries are rich in nitrate, which can help increase the flow of blood and oxygen to your muscles by 7%. This has been shown to help dieters burn more calories and lessen overall fatigue.

Breakfast: Herbal tea with Trulicious Natural Sweetener, and 1 breadstick

Lunch: 3.5 oz of shrimp, 3.5 oz spinach, 2 Melba Toast and a small orange

Dinner: 3 oz of beef, 3.5 oz tomatoes, 1 breadsticks and grapefruit

Nutrition Facts: 493 calories, 19g sugar, 46 carbs, 45g protein, 281 sodium

Shrimp packs a punch when it comes to key nutrients and protein content. At around 20 grams of protein per 3 ounces, it provides just a few grams less than the same amount of chicken. A single jumbo shrimp provides about 3 grams of protein, but has very little fat and carbohydrates, making it a great food while trying to lose weight. It also comes close to fulfilling the bodys daily value for selenium, a trace mineral that can help limit inflammation, protect against heart disease and maintain a healthy metabolism. Along with selenium, shrimp provides around 60% of your daily vitamin B12 needs and 40% for phosphorous. To go along with the shrimp, try some sauteed spinach, which provides your body with 3.6g of carbohydrates, 2.2g of which are dietary fiber. Spinach contains 70% insoluble fiber, which helps improves digestion function and the transportation of food through the body. The other 30% is soluble fiber, which keeps your body from absorbing some fats contained in other foods. Fiber plays an important role in the body and especially weight loss. Learn more about the different types of fiber here. Spinach also has a low glycemic index of just 15, which makes it the perfect food for promoting weight loss and eliminating cellulite. 100 grams of spinach also contains 558mg of potassium, about 16% of your daily value. Containing more potassium than 100g of bananas, increased consumption helps with preserving bone mineral density and retaining muscle mass. It has also been shown to help prevent kidney stones, as well as control heart rate and blood pressure. To finish off lunch, try a small or medium orange. They have over 170 different phytochemicals and 60 flavonoids, many of which have strong antioxidant benefits and anti-inflammatory properties. One orange provides 130% of your daily vitamin C needs, which helps boost your immune system and keeps the body running smoothly. Choline, a vitamin contained in oranges, with 36mg per orange, has been shown to help with sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory.

For dinner, the main meal of beef, tomatoes and grapefruit, contains a variety of

vitamins and minerals that our bodies need. At around 26 grams of protein, the 100g of beef will keep you full and strong while on the HCG diet. Beef also provides 35% of your vitamin B3 needs and 107% for vitamin B12. Maintaining a strong supply of proteins, vitamins and minerals is crucial while on the HCG diet, due to the decrease in calories consumed. It is important to provide your body with the building blocks it needs to stay healthy as you lose weight. To go along with your main source of protein, tomatoes are a superfood when it comes to nutritional content and the benefits it provides your body. They are rich in vitamin C, at around 40% of your daily requirement per tomato, and also in vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant that can improve your vision. Lycopene, a component of tomatoes, has been proven to help protect against cardiovascular disease and decrease cholesterol levels. Finishing the meal with half a grapefruit, brings the body similar benefits to the oranges consumed at lunch, due to its high vitamin A and C levels. However, it still has a low glycemic index of 25, therefore, not significantly affecting blood sugar and insulin levels. Studies done by Dr. Ken Fujioka as part of the Scripps Clinic, showed that on average, obese participants who consumed fresh grapefruit before each meal, lost the most weight at 3.52 pounds over 12 weeks, with the placebo group only losing 0.66 pounds. Along with its weight loss benefits, grapefruits are one of the most hydrating fruits on the planet, made up of 91% water, and providing the body with important electrolytes.

Simeons notes in his protocol that there is no objection to breaking up the two meals. For example, there is the option to have a breadstick and an apple for breakfast or before bed, as long as it is removed from the regular meals and no more than four items are eaten during one meal. When first following the HCG diet and planning out meals, Dr. Simeons suggests keeping a diet log, in order to properly measure caloric intake and food consumption. Relying on memory can be difficult, and preparation will always serve to keep dieters organized and on-track with their diet needs. Overall, sticking to a plan is the most important aspect of the HCG diet and following the careful way in which the foods, process and treatment was designed.

Are You Tired of Fad Diets? Find Out Why HCG is the Most Popular and Most Effective Weight Loss Treatment.

HCG, which stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a glycoprotein hormone produced from the embryos of women during pregnancy. This hormone, though previously considered to be unrelated to weight loss/weight gain, was discovered in the 1950s to be highly valuable in the treatment of obesity. Dr. A.T.W Simeons pioneered the research in this field, using injections, coupled with a low calorie diet, in order to arrest and completely reverse weight gain. Many studies and countless real world people have achieved amazing, lasting, weight loss with HCG.

The HCG diet plan is absolutely spectacular in its effectiveness. Recent new information released indicates that not only does HCG help you lose weight fast, but also it helps to cure diabetes! We reported on a new HCG study that not only definitively showed the HCG diet worked, but that the it also helped boost insulin levels and metabolism. This absolutely a stunning development, considering that HCG has never been used to treat diabetes. It's quite amazing that such a simple hormone is turning out to have so many amazing, and unexpected effects.

We provide Dr. Simeon's book free of charge with all of our orders, so all of our customers can follow his plan closely. HCG drops in recent years have received much praise for their cheap price, high effectiveness and wide availability. As with all things that help people, there are many imitators that develop around it.

Homeopathic HCG is quite popular right now, but there are several key issues with it's effectiveness. Almost all Homeopathic HCG drops contain little to no actual HCG. The term homeopathic actually refers to medicine that is diluted and heated in such a way as to kill its effectiveness. As such, it is practically worthless, as it destroys the protein strands that make up HCG. As a result, it is important that you choose and utilize only Real HCG Drops.

HCG injections were the primary way HCG used to be administered. Since HCG generally was thought to need monitoring by a doctor in order to maximize effectiveness, doctors were the primary way patients achieved HCG's amazing benefits. In the early 2000s, however, several pharmaceutical companies began offering HCG drops, as a low cost alternative for achieving similar results.

As with any effective weight loss, imitators begin to form around the effective treatments. Homeopathic HCG drops were created for just this purpose. They are cheap, contain little to no HCG, and are often sold as the real thing. Homeopathic HCG is everywhere on the Web, but these drops contain no HCG at all. The HCG diet plan has been quite effective as studies have begun showing in recent months. It not only provides one of the most stable and long lasting treatments for obesity, but also has become a staple of any doctor's prescription plan for helping patients lose weight.

HCG injections have continually provided, fast, permanent weight loss. However, recent studies show that Non-Homeopathic HCG drops provide almost the same level of effectiveness and promptness of weight loss. Non-Homeopathic HCG drops are the real deal, and are produced by a single American pharmaceutical company for sale as supplements. These drops are less expensive than injections, and far less painful. Careful monitoring is still necessary, but there is more leeway in the dosage with Real HCG drops. As with all programs, you should follow the guidelines supplied on the bottle and otherwise. However, if you need further assistance with your real HCG drops, please feel free to contact us directly.

The term Non-Homeopathic refers to the way in which a product is manufactured. Homeopathic is defined as a drug with minimal, or nearly zero, dosage. Non-Homeopathic HCG drops, however, are reliable alternatives that provide similar outcomes to injections.

Do not be fooled by Homeopathic HCG drops for this reason. Clinical levels of HCG are necessary for real progress to occur. The drops we provide use supplement binders, in accordance with FDA regulations, and are manufactured within the USA. Most of these Homeopathic HCG drops are mainly coming out of China. These suspect drops are increasingly turning into an attempt to fool unsuspecting customers, who believe they contain HCG.

Non-homeopathic HCG fits well within the HCG diet plan as it provides top level treatment for discounted prices. The HCG diet plan, which includes 4 distinct phases, relies heavily upon levels of HCG being maintained within the body. This strategy utilizes several key aspects, including HCG hormone administration, and a lower 700 calorie per day meal plan. We at Bottled HCG diet actually provide this meal plan and recipe guide free of charge to all of our customers. Along with your real HCG drops, you will receive a full fledge guide that will help you on your journey to a healthier you.

Please Learn More about Homeopathic vs Non-Homeopathic HCG drops by reading about our studies of the differences and the results!

Hcg Diet Plan: Get to Know the REAL Hcg Diet | HCG DIET …

What is the Hcg Diet Plan? (And how to do it right.)

The Hcg Diet Plan is a doctor-supervised, medical weight loss program that combines hormone therapy with whole food eating. Menu options are heavy in vegetables and lean proteins, as well as fruit options and limited grains. Allowed calories on the protocol, range from 500 to 1600 calories, depending on the specific protocol followed.

The very specific food list can teach healthy eating, portion control and establish healthy relationships with food. While the protocol was initially outlined by Dr. Simeons, modern day variations have become increasingly popular. This guide, focuses on the original protocol, with modern adaptations noted by the editor.

How the diet started

Dr. Albert Simeons was a world-renowned endocrinologist recognized for his pioneering work in tropical diseases. He was awarded the Red Cross Order of Merit for his advancement in the research and treatment of Malaria and honored for a number of research-breakthroughs. While working with severely malnourished women in India, Dr. Simeons discovered a link between the Hcg hormone, and its ability to utilize stored fat to nourish and deliver healthy children. After years of research, he was able to develop a protocol that utilized this effect of Hcg, to treat obesity, and published the groundbreaking manuscript, Pounds and Inches.

Here are a few basics for those who are ready to jump right in and start with the plan immediately. With these simple articles, you can easily get started today. Take note however, that anyone new to the plan, should read through this guide thoroughly, and NEVER proceed with the protocol without consulting a physician (FDA approved telemedicine Hcg programs are listed below.)

Help and Support: 3 Reliable Options

The Hcg protocol consists of 3 phases, with a newer 4th phase that has been added to the original protocol, being coined as P4, longterm maintenance. Each phase is extremely important and should not be skipped. The Loading Phase (P1) is 2 (in some cases, 3 days,) while Phase 2, the weight loss phase, can vary in length depending on your protocol's specifics. For example, one Hcg source's protocol can differ from another such as 26 days or 29 days. Phase 3, the Transition Phase, lasts 3 weeks and is an expansion of increased calories and foods that do not include any sugars or starches. The 4th phase refers to life after the diet's first 3 phases and includes a lifestyle of healthy choices learned while on the protocol. This includes exercise, portion control, clean eating and healthy living in general.

Hcg Diet and Medical Conditions*

The HCG Diet Protocol consists of separate phases. Together, they are referred to as a round. Dieter's typically lose 18 to 25 lbs per round (approximately 1 month.) If more weight is needed to be lost, there is a 3 week break after the final phase, and thenanother round is started. Rinse and repeat until goal weight is reached.

HCG Diet protocols include the following4 phases. Note on protocol variations: Some protocols actually include 3 and 4 as the same Maintenance phase and have only 3 phases total. Other protocols, including Dr. Simeons Original protocol, do not include phase 1, loading phase. This can be a personal preference, however we will say that the following phase example, has shown great results from our readers, and has certainly appeared to be the most successful.

1. Hcg Diet Phase 1 Loading

Phase 1 is the loading phase. Also known as the preparation phase. This phase is not on all HCG Diet protocols but it is on most and is very popular. During this two day phase, the dieter eats as much healthy fats as possible in preparation for starting the next phase. They are also welcome to eat as many cheat foods as they would like, with the intention of satisfying cravings prior to beginning the next phase where these foods will not be allowed. Read more

2. Hcg Diet Phase 2 Weight Loss

Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is the weight loss phase. This begins on day 3 of taking HCG where the dieter adheres toa specifiedcalorie intake and carefully selected food list. For most dieters, this is the most challenging phase of the plan because there is very little room for error. Read more:

3. Hcg Diet Phase 3 Transition

Phase 3 of the HCG Dietis at the end of HCG is discontinued and the same foods from phase 2 are still eaten, but increased slowly. In this stage, this is areintroduction period where calories and foods are slowly adjusted to maintain weight loss. Read more:

4. Hcg Diet Phase 4 Maintenance

Phase 4 of the HCG Diet is the phase of continuing weight maintenance for life-long health and fitness. This is an essential part of the HCG diet and it actually begins during Phase 2. This is where you will begin to build the skills necessary for lifetime weight maintenance and healthy living. For example; reading labels as a habit (this will become 2nd nature and shouldn'tstop once you reach your weight loss goals. Also, portion control and learning to listen to your body. The absolute best (&Free!) HCG Diet tips for reaching your weight loss goals safe and fast!

Hcg weight loss foods and recipes are the backbone of the Hcg weight loss program. Not only do the allowed foods help you to lose weight, but they also help get our body into a healthy state.

It is important to understand that while the Hcg hormone does NOT make you lose weight, it does changehowyour body loses weight, and creates a reaction in your body that allows for the rapid weight loss. It is the carefully selected Hcg Diet food list that is responsible for your weight loss; the Hcg just allows your body to continue to burn fat when it would normally go into starvation mode under the calorie restricted diet.

This is good news! This means the Hcg weight loss plan can be surprisingly versatile with the right recipes, and can work with any number of menus, foods sensitivities. The allowed foods are clear of processed and prepared foods and carefully measured for portion control. Instead of processed foods, the food list focuses on clean eating, and consists mostly of vegetables and healthy portions of lean protein, along with some, but limited, carbohydrates. To be clear, this is NOT a ketosis diet when done correctly, and in fact the amount of vegetables and fruit permitted, do not allow the body to go into ketosis. Compared to ketosis diets, this particular approach has been shown to average much higher weight loss rates that range from .5 to 1.5 pounds per day.

In a nutshell: The Hcg Diet allowed foods and guidelines focus on portion control, increased vegetables and proteins, and a food list that is comprised of clean, unprocessed foods.

The Original HCG Diet is known for its restrictive and unforgiving500 calorie VLCD (very low calorie diet.) Some versions of the diet have evolved to allowfor an HCG Diet expanded food list.

Learn what to eat on the HCG Diet and how to eat: Portion sizes, HCG Diet-friendly recipes for all phases, foods lists, plus HCG Diet cooking and shopping tips.

Learning to cook on the diet, can be a struggle for some patients, however, it is also an excellent opportunity to learn how to cook new foods that are clean, nutritious and healthy. Since the protocol does not allow foods that are processed or prepared (bye bye alcohol, fast food and frozen dinners) this can be an excellent path to learning how to prepare meals that will nourish your body, and make long term weight maintenance easy.

Take a look at our recipe section, and discover amazing Hcg Diet Recipes that include Southwestern chicken, strawberry cupcakes, garlic baked shrimp, mouth-watering grilled asparagus, and chai beverages. While it may be intimidating to look at the allowed foods list and feel limited, it won't take long before you realize just how versatile and delishous it can be.

We have also included a list of our best recipe and cooking articles that cover everything from how to cook on the protocol, spices to use to increase your metabolism, tips for dining out and tips for eating during special occasions.

How to Buy Hcg Injection Kits, Drops and Pellets

Hcg Diet Info has put together a complete guide to buying Hcg Kits and Programs online: How to Buy Hcg injections online (Drops and Pellets too.)

In the last few years, the FDA-approved telemedicine industry has grown and allowed doctors to prescribe and care for individuals wanting to follow the protocol. You can now safely buy Hcg kits online, that come with a complete program overseen by a medical doctor and Hcg weight loss experts and nutritionists. This has grown to be one of the most beneficial medical weight loss programs in the world now.

Tips for buying Hcg and Hcg weight loss programs: One of the first things to take into consideration when buying Hcg, is which form of Hcg you feel comfortable with, how soon you would like to start your diet, and the level of support you will need. The latter tends to be the biggest difference between various Hcg sources with some companies offering minimal support (better for veterans and pros that want to buy a bare bones Hcg kit to save money) and other companies offering extensive diet support, while yet another offering custom dosage and protocol support, and complete medical doctor hand-holding, along with a year of nutritionist services (even after the diet is completed.) These may seem like small differences but they can add up to be an extreme value for your money, as well as offer peace of mind.

The sources recommended in Hcg Diet Infooffer each of the acceptable choices that can be used with the original Hcg weight loss protocol: Hcg injections, Hcg Diet Drops (Prescription or Homeopathic), and Prescription Hcg Pellets. The Hcg Buy Guide also offers answers to dozens of frequently asked questions about buying Hcg Kits and Hcg weight loss programs online. Please note: Over the counter hormone free diet drops should NOT be used with the original protocol and can be dangerous if combined with the VLCD (very low calorie menu.) These over the counter drops have been addressed and dismissed largely by the FDA for good reason- they are NOT safe with the original protocol. Read: How to know if my Hcg Drops are Real, for more information.

Exercise is an important part of healthy living, even without wanting to lose weight. While the original protocol insistedexercise was not necessary, most of the evolvedprotocols include and encourage a consistent exercise routine simply because it is a healthy lifestyle option and the benefits are many.

For those currently active, in most cases, it is ok to continue as usual, although some may find it useful to lighten their workout for the first week of being on the protocol. For those who are new to working out, a low impact daily workout of at least 20 minutes a day is recommended to start. Recommended activities include: walking (brisk), swimming, yoga (no hot yoga practices yet), and pilates. Level of activity is extremely light the first week of phase 2 on the HCG Diet and increases as the individual feels ready. It is highly advised that the chosen workouts are something enjoyable, and not something you dread doing every day.

The HCG Diet can be complicated and so specific, you are almost certain to experiencechallenges along the way. While it might not seem welcome, It is a large part of the learning process for long term managementsuccess. There will be temptation to stray from your planned diet, and there may even be times when you stray by accident. Yes, it can happen: Aunt Sally forgot to tell you she adds sugar toher famous holiday vinaigrettedressing, or the restaurant neglected to tell you there's bread crumb mixed right into the hamburger patty which you so carefully ordered without a bun. Of course there's the good old oops, I assumed that hot sauce was just hot sauce and didn't realize it had 9 grams of sugar. There's your first lesson; always double-check ingredientsand don't eat it unless you're sure. A better lesson if you can't see all ingredients, don't eat it! The less processed foods you eat, the better. See, it's all part of the big picture and building the skillsto be fit and thin for life.

Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches is the original book that outlines every detail of the Hcg weight loss protocol. Dr. Simeons has been very specific in his words, outlining all aspects of the diet. This includes the original 500 calorie menu, the effects of hCG on the body, hCG dosage, how to inject hCG, how to handle stalls and plateaus, and a solid overview transitioning from phase 2 to phase 3, which many dieters can find challenging.

Regardless of which version of the protocol the patient is following, it can still be helpful to read the manuscript. Not only does this allow the Hcg dieter to understand the intention of the diet, but it can also help establish a solid foundation of preparation, and help avoid challenges by answering many of the most frequently asked questions.

Our editor has taken the time to separate the original manuscript by chapter, making it easy to navigate and locate individual topics. We also offer an MP3 audio version (audiobook) of the Pounds and Inches manuscript, as well as a PDF version. These will be automatically sent to those who sign up for our newsletter but they can also be found here:
