Mike Trout is moving on from HGH accusations – New York Post

Major League Baseball saw plenty of its stars succumb to allegations of cheating this offseason. Mike Trout was never worried about becoming one of them.

The Los Angeles Angels outfielder was accused of taking human growth hormone in since-deleted comments made by David Brosius, son of ex-Yankees infielder Scott, on Instagram.

I didnt really think anything of it, cause its not true, Trout told reporters on Monday. If one person tweets something out and someone gets a hold of it, everyone sees it and wonders about it. It is what it is.

Brosius apologized for the incident, Trout said, and hes moving on from it.

They called us, called the Angels, he said. I was actually in my tree stand and I got a couple of calls from Adam. I thought something had gone on with the Astros. We figured it out. They handled it.

As for the Astros, who have received plenty of scorn as the depths of their sign-stealing scandal continue to come out, the three-time AL MVP is much less forgiving.

Its sad for baseball, Trout said. Its tough. They cheated. I dont agree with the punishments, the players not getting anything. It was a player-driven thing. It sucks, too, because guys careers have been affected, a lot of people lost jobs. It was tough.

I lost some respect for some guys All the stuff coming out, its tough to see.
