Participants will learn about the many opportunities to help support and grow local initiatives to address food insecurity and improve the quality of food available to those in need in the community. They include: helping homebound individuals, preparing lunchtime meals at a community caf and evening meals at an after-school program, picking up food from local grocery stores, stocking/organizing shelves and preparing food packages at local food pantries, assisting with food drives, holiday meals and more.
